Perfect for videos

Got this for my brother-in-law last year and it works well, you have to have a good place to clip it since it doesn't stand alone but it's a nice basic/starter for someone getting into streaming and making content.

This is pretty well constructed and the light is actually surprisingly bright. The fact that it can be dimmed and changed to three different colors (neutral white, blue moonlight, and warm/sunset) is really awesome for the price. (And the cord is over a foot long, not 4 inches long.) I got it for my son to creatively use for making train videos and he's been able to use it decently well. (The light is bright enough that when he accidentally includes it in his shot, it looks like the sun in the sky over the scene he's recording--not like a glowing donut--which is pretty cool.)With that said, do be aware of a few things if you're wanting a similar filmmaking pursuit for this set up:First, if you're just wanting a clever version of a pseudo steadicam for recording other people, this isn't the best option for you, as it's designed to expose the inward focusing camera, not the outward facing camera. (With creativity, you can use it to record other people or trains, but it is more complicated than I had realized.)Second, the clamp isn't extremely long, thick, or rubberized, which is a bit of problem because both of the bendable arms are pretty darn heavy. As such, while this would be fine for doing single shot selfie work at a table or desk, it is not great if you were planning to clamp it to something more mobile like a chair back or a tripod. (Or keep moving it around for different shots, such as for makeup tutorials and the like.)Third, you can't unscrew the clamp so that you can screw it into a tripod.If you understand those facts, you'll find that this is a pretty good little deal.-Jeremy

This light has a great brightness and is fairly sturdy when it comes to clipping onto a desk. It is a great value as far as price is concerned. I love the adjustable brightness and light settings and that it plugs into the wall using a regular phone charging port.

Amazing Ring Light! I have two daughters who are aspiring MUAs lol - they wanted ring lights for their makeup videos and music videos and I'm so glad I purchased two of these.They are nice heavy duty and feel like such amazing quality. The durable clip easily attached to their vanities and can quickly be moved to another location. Its flexible and tall so it can be clipped to the edge and moved any where they need light.The best part is that the phone holder is directly below the ring light. So no clipping the light on the phone or adjusting it. Just simply put the phone in the holder and flip on the light. The power supply is a USB type so you'll need a power supply. Any old phone charger adapter will work great and for such a low price I didnt expect it to come with one.The light is so bright that it literally lit up my daughters entire room and she can do her makeup in the dark with nothing but the ring light which she really likes because it focuses more on her face and less of the background.I have purchased a few different ring lights as incentives to team members for their direct sales and all of them have been around 10.00 but none have been this amazing! I'm very happy with this product and if you regularly do lives or take pics for social media this is a must have!

I bought these lights for my stream. I use a green light as a green screen behind me and it made me too dark in the forefront. I have big umbrella lights and other styles of photography lighting, but they’re huge and take up a lot of space. These are small, fit right into the computer area, give off so much light, but don’t take up much space. I bought 2 different types of these lights, also. One has a clip and comes with the light and the phone stand (this listing) and the other comes on a flat stand, has a light, phone holder, and microphone holder. Both of them are great, I’m so glad I bought them. I need to find a way to push the lights back some more because sometimes they make me see spots because they’re so close to my face 😂 but that’s my fault for sitting so close to them. 10/10 would recommend, not just for photos but even for video. If you stream, don’t have a lot of space, need better lighting/brighter lighting, I highly recommend you try these. I wish I had pics of the difference.

The media could not be loaded.  Haha. This thing is so cute. And it’s actually better made then I thought it was going to be. The poles are a very thick metal like material. But easy to bend! I have an IPhone 8 (with case) and it holds just fine. Phone doesn’t slip out due to the no slip grips on the side.I love the light has two different tones. White / yellow and I love that the light can be adjusted from dim to bright.I like that I didn’t need to put anything together ! Just took it out of the box and bent it open and took the plastic off.. bomb! It’s ready for use.The only thing is it doesn’t come with a box to connect electricity too. Sooo y’all gotta unplug your cellphone for a couple minutes (: haha I also like that the plug has a little blue light around the power button, so ifYou’re in the dark and this is plugged in.. it got your back! Just find that blue light.Would recommend !!! Worth the price! And I probably won’t be just using this for selfies but for when I do my makeup also! Instead of paying $10000000 for a ring like when this little handy one does the same !
