Safety hazard with GE tempered glass
If you want to buy an oven that has a history of the glass randomly shattering into tiny pieces all over your kitchen, then go ahead. When you call their consumer line they will be happy to tell you that this is "not a safety issue." Just glad my baby and toddler weren't there when the shards of heated glass exploded onto the ground. Well done, GE.

Very nice budget range
Simple, well-built, does not feel cheap (except the storage draw).Burners work well, griddle is fine for sandwiches or a few pancakes, you can get a grate for the center.Oven is decent, cooks more evenly than our old whirlpool (though it was ok), though isn't perfect.Overall a good choice on a budget. Only downside is cleaning the SS.

Brand new and does not work
Don't waste your time on GE appliances. This gas range was included "brand new" in our "new" home. During home inspection the oven worked. A few weeks later we moved in, and the oven is not working (not even once).

poor quality for an expensive stove
I bought model Model: JGB700SEJSS in late October 2015. I am now on my 4th service call. One Part has come in defective for the third time. Bottom drawer is warped. door hinges faulty, flaws in stainless panels, poor quality for an expensive stove. Hopefully the forth back panel will be
