Q: Could this pump be used as a fire fighting pump with an appropriate nozzle? I live on a lake in Alaska and have plenty of water available.

Yes it can, I have one set up with a 500gal tank. With the 2” intake and I reduced the discharge to a 1 1/2” fire hose, and to a 1” hose reel, with the cheap nozzles you can purchase at just about any lumber yard or farm supply you can get good water pressure and get some good distance.

Yes for sure. I lifted water 90ft vertical lift a total of 300+ft at an alarming rate

Q: I want to put a male ring and groove conection on suction and discharge, will I need a male or female 2 in thread to attach to the pump

I am not sure what that connection is. Mine has a male threaded connection on both inlet and discharge. It comes with an array of hose clamps that are a little weak. I have sure loved this pump.

Q: How much life will this pump perform. I need about 12 feet of rise?

It slows it down a bit but it is very capable of doing 12 feet.
