more for the smell
My bottle seemed packed well but still arrived with a whole in it so I would rather buy it in a shop next time.The product smells nice....we moved into a new house and wanted to get rid of the smoke in the carpet. After clean It it twice (when just after we moved in and a coupe of weeks layer again) it now smells lovely. I don't find that it makes much of a difference when it comes to how clean the carpet gets....i have used my carpet washer without this product and find that it cleans the carpets just as well with just water so I guess it is more just for the smell rather than helping making the carpet cleaner.
