The tale of three scooters
Bought one of these to keep up with my 4 year olds when they are scooting like bugs on their scooters. We liked it so much that we bought another one for my wife to use. Then some imperfections appeared. The clip that keeps the carrying straps on the scooter bent back. I didn't notice it and grabbed my shirt and tore a hole in it. This bending occurred shortly on the second scooter too, but I noticed before losing another shirt. Then the second scooter's handlebars loosened to the point that I had to stop every few minutes to realign them with the front tire. Also the second scooter's quick release on the folding mechanism started to catch on the side. If I failed to notice it in time, then the scooter folded when I started using it. I wrote the company about the problems and instead of telling me how to fix the problems they sent me a third scooter! This one turned out to be completely unusable due to a defect that caused the handle bars to pull the whole scooter back to center when I tried to turn. It was a very interesting ride to work that day and back! I'm glad I survived it. My wife was not using her scooter much so I switched back to the first one that we bought. It soon developed the same wheel alignment problem. A professional bike repair guy was able to figure out what to tighten up and I have been using it without much problem since (you need 6mm hex wrench to tighten up the white piece that holds the handle bar tube in the bottom of the scooter.) The quick release gets stuck on the second scooter now too. I just have to watch it like a hawk for my own safety. The manufacturer is coming out with a redesign soon which will address these problems they told me.The scooters themselves are pretty well built pieces of equipment. I am hard on them due to the rough payment I use going to work. I would highly recommend them for lighter recreational use. If you want to use them everyday for serious transportation next year's model might be the thing for you unless you are handy with some repairs.

Awesome Scooter!
I didn't really know what to expect when I received this scooter, but right out of the box I was impressed. The frame is obviously larger than your average scooter but it's so light in weight (about 9-10 lbs) that the size shouldn't make a difference if you're taking weight into consideration. Frame is well built and and doesn't really make noise on a sidewalk (unless you're skating on rough street pavement.) Presentation wise, this scooter will and has turned a lot of heads. The color (mine is blue), wheels (200mm), brake wire and frame size all stand out!The handbrake on my scooter is pretty responsive and works well. It'll definitely slow down your speed if you're making a turn or just want to take a break, but it won't stop the scooter entirely if you press it fully. This is a good thing depending at the speed you're going at as a full stop could cause you to fall over/lose balance. Something to keep in mind is to check the screw tightness on the handbrake. One of the screws right beside the hand lever fell out due to usage (not a big deal as I can pop it back in) but please check to make sure all screws/bolts are tightened before you take off. Also, if you're going down a street or path that has a slight incline the scooter will coast nicely (my favorite feature). To finish, this scooter has exceeded my expectations and has made my small trips around campus really enjoyable! (The blue CityGlide also comes with a shoulder strap, really nice addition!)

Great way to get from A-B in urban environments
Rides well - I generally ride it 1-3 miles per day in downtown San Fransisco. I agree with all positive points here - it really is a great scooter - so I'll just focus on three annoyances:-The locking mechanism on the folding hinge sometimes gets stuck - meaning sometimes it doesn't lock-in in the folded or expanded forms sometimes. I've learned to double check ever time I open/close it, so it hasn't been a problem, but I wish I didn't have to worry about it.-It rattles pretty loudly on bumpy terrain - I'm pretty sure that's the fault of the hand-brake's braking mechanism on the rear tire. On the plus side, this noise helps pedestrians know to move out of my way.-It doesn't stop in the rain. At all. Both the hand brake and rear foot break are useless when wet. I remember this being a problem with the Razors I had as a kid, so this may just be a fact of life for scooters, don't know if other adult-scooters have the same issue.

Going downhill on this is a blast!
I bought this to ride from my office to the parking garage my office pays for due to working a 3pm-midnight shift in a somewhat sketchy neighborhood. Works extremely well to get from point A to point B and serves a reminder I am way more out of shape than I thought. Only draw backs are1- The locking mechanism on the handles broke day one, however this ended up to not be a super terrible thing because the manufacturer replaced my entire scooter for free for me.2- The locking mechanism for when you're folding it open or shut can be temperamental and require a bit of force to get it to cooperate.Overall, I love it and will be using it quite a bit during good weather.

Good scooter, problematic quick release lever for folding mechanism
I've been using this for a my last two miles between train and work, and overall find it to be a good scooter with some problems associated with the quick release lever for folding. The wheels are large and fantastic for the less than perfect pavement. You can hit small bumps without fearing wiping out. The combination of a hand break and a heel break is ideal for me, and seem to both work great. Where I have had issues is with the quick release lever. Locking the handlebars and front wheel into the upright rather than folded position requires care to ensure that the lever is fully engaged and tightened. If not, the rattle of riding on a typical pavement can, and has for me, caused this to release and me to wipe out. I suspect some minor modifications would greatly improve the quick release stability, and will supplement this with suggestions when I have them
