EcoSmart Insect Repellent 2-Pack Spray Bottle

This is my favorite repellant of all time.It is true that it needs to be reapplied regularly, but since it has such a nice, refreshing, minty smell and dries quickly after application with NO GREASY FEEL, it is worth it to me to reapply.We live part-time in a place where mosquitoes rule and the Ecosmart keeps them at bay for several hours. An added bonus is that there is no greasy or skeevy feeling (from applying toxic chemicals to the body) and thus no need to wash it off before getting into bed or sitting on your nice furniture.It is the only repellant product I use now and so I order regularly through Amazon, since sometimes it is hard to find in stores here in the northeast. I will say, just fyi, that I am the type of person who is willing to get a few bug bites in the interest of not slathering my skin in deet or picaridin. If you are adamantly opposed to a bug bites of any ilk, you may want to try Fisherman's Friend (picaridin).

I swear by this stuff.So, I decided to go fishing for my birthday one year... I'd been out of town for a few years and was visiting family, so I forgot how bad the skeeters were... The sun started to dip and they came out in droves. I was being bit left and right EVEN AS PEOPLE WERE DOUSING ME WITH THEIR SPRAY-- nothing worked.I walked away with 56 bites. I'm still shocked I didn't get West Nile of Dengue.Anyway, the following day, I happened to see this stuff in a local Albertson's and decided to give it a try since the OFF! brand has NEVER worked for me-- Let me tell you, you can literally observe those flying ****s turn around and regret their life choices a foot away from you.I held onto this stuff for two years, and grabbed it from my closet for use at a renaissance fair. Myself, and the person who asked to use some due to an allergy to DEET were the only people who didn't get bit the entire 12 hours we were working the fair.The stuff smells pretty nice. Weird, but nice. It lasts forever-- both on the body and the shelf-- and is safe to use around pets. I honestly will never use anything else. I was so happy to find this stuff online after not being able to find it anywhere. LOVE THIS STUFF!!!

I love that this product is all-natural. I used to buy at at my local Publix, but they've stopped carrying it, so Amazon was the net stop. This lemongrass-scented spray is everything I could ask for- easy to apply, smells great, and is effective! I live in south Florida near the beach, and no-see-ums are the bane of my existence. Using this spray every morning before my early walk in the park means I'm not bother by them, mosquitoes, or flies (or any other flying aberration this area attracts.) I highly recommend it! (My vet even told me it was okay to spray on my cat, who sometimes gets bitten on our screened patio. He won't stay still long enough to get it on, though-)

It really does work- I actually bought this after looking at a couple studies that compared the effectiveness of mosquito repellent products.This worked better, according to the study than deet products on first application. This was a top 3 products in their study for % of mosquitoes repelled vs powering through to bite shortly after application. Tying for most effective at repelling shortly after application, was this and cutter lemon eucalyptus with picardian.The study indicated the downside of this product was that the benefits are short lived- less than an hour and you'll need to reapply, I have found that to be true in real life. That is why I removed a star.As a result, I purchased this product for my nightly use while I play with my dogs. I don't have to worry, like with deet and picardian products, that I'm going to have to wash it off as soon as I'm done being at risk for bites, and I have sensitive skin prone to breakouts and this product has been fine. It smells a bit like cinnamon, strong-ish, but pleasant. The smell fades at about the time-frame that the product stops working, so you kind of have a warning as it gets less effective.I also purchased Cutter for things like camping, or lengthy times outdoors where I won't want to stop and reapply EcoSmart. At home I just reapply EcoSmart, because in addition to not really wanting to use deet or picardian regularly, I also really hate the smell of cutter. It's pretty much exclusively for camping now, but it is very effective if you want a long lasting alternative. Cutter Lemon Eucalyptus Insect Repellent (Pump Spray) (HG-96014)

I have been using Ecosmart bug spray for years to keep ticks, gnats and mosquitoes away when hiking. It works extremely well without a nasty chemical/fake pine smell. It smells a bit like Smarties candies when you open them. People always comment on the nice smell. Mosquitoes and gnats still come within a few inches but don’t land on sprayed areas. Our local Target stopped carrying this, so I am really happy I can still get it on Amazon! Highly recommend!

I have been using EcoSMART insect repellent for over 4 years, and I feel it does a great job of repelling all kinds of bugs. I live in a heavily wooded area of the country and spend most of my outdoor time gardening and mowing my small yard during the daylight hours. I do wear long pants with cuffs stuffed inside my socks and use this spray all over my socks, shoes, pants and any exposed skin on my arms and hands. Sounds crazy but it works for me to stop chiggar bites. They are somewhere in my yard. I like the fact that EcoSMART Insect Repellent is non-toxic, organic, and DEET free. Mosquitoes don't bother me either. That might not be the case if I were outside after sundown. My cat seems not to be bothered by it on me either. Good product.
