(Update: I hate this stove) Better choices for the money. You'll regret buying this range
1/10/21 Update: I hate this stove. Let's get the privilege problem out of the way first. Does the stove function? Yes. Does it look nice? Yes. But its a terrible choice amongst its peers. All the things I said in my first review hold true. Who makes grates where your pans fall in? I've never seen that before. Its a safety hazard as the contents could extinguish a burner. The new issue is that one of the igniters has failed. Blomberg is not well known in the states so getting service is a hassle. No response from their customer support yet. This is not a bargain range but is in the higher quality category. Sadly, its missing features that are just table stakes at this price point.- simmer: Basic feature. This range doesn't have even a single burner that a 'low' simmer. You need to play games putting the pans slightly off center to bleed heat- pre-heat speed: This is just a fail for this range. To pre-heat to 400 degrees, it takes over an hour. I've had a technicianand he claims this is typical for this range. There is no option to adjust.-grate spacing: The space between grates is very large. Smaller pots can fall through, causing them to tip and spill-display responsiveness: the control panel is very slow to respond. Each 'button' press takes ~1/3 of a second. This doesn't sound like a big deal but in practice is really slow relative to what folks are used to. Some times it doesn't respond without multi pushes. Really annoyingThe overall quality seems very good. The range is solid and heavy. The door has good closing action. But its just not a fun range to use and at this price point it should be

Electric panel problems on 2 Blomberg Ovens
Loved the cooktop and look of this oven. Unfortunately, the oven panel on our first Blomberg did not work on the day of delivery. The panel required VERY hard pressure to activate. It would time out everytime we tried to turn it on because we spent 5 seconds at a time trying to push each button in the sequence of buttons. We returned Blomberg #1because we couldn't use the oven at all. Blomberg #2 worked fine for about 4-5 months and although the oven panel on that one required firm pressure to activate, it was nothing like Blomberg #1. About 4-5 months into using Blomberg #2, we realized that sustained use of the cooktop seemed to make the oven panel short out. Everytime we used the cooktop for simmering for sustained amounts of time (i.e., soup, spaghetti sauce) the oven panel which had been off, would try to turn itself on. We could stand there and watch it flash 350 degrees, and click/beep over and over again trying to turn on without anyone touching it. Definitely dangerous. The oven kept cyling through this 350 + clicking/beeping process every minute or two until the oven had cooled significantly. We put up with this for a couple of weeks which we really shouldn't have due to the potential danger. Eventually we had to return that oven as well. Thankfully our local appliance store was willing to work with us throughout this process and we are happy with our non-Blomberg oven.

Looks fantastic, works well
We have had our stove for about 9 months and it has worked very well overall. Two quirks: the lowest setting (simmer) on the smallest burner is slightly too hot, i.e., it will, over time, bring all simmering items to a low-moderate boil. For evening or closely monitored cooking, this is not an issue; however, for a multi-hour "low simmer" it isn't optimal. Secondly, the electronic keypad requires very accurate and aggressive pushing to activate buttons. While this may be an intentional safety feature to prevent accidental activation of the oven, it is slightly frustrating and takes a bit of getting used to. Still, overall, we are very happy with the stove, especially given its relatively modest price.

Unsafe and Poor Service
Unsafe range, the broiler will go out during use and when you reopen the door a fireball comes roaring out as oxygen mixes with the raw gas which has accumulated inside. We've spent 5 months going back and forth with Blomberg, they attempted a repair but weren't successful and now won't return our calls or emails.

Confusing UI, button pad comes broken
Buttons are difficult to press. Some are completely broken and are entirely unresponsive. Most of the numeric buttons are broken so I can't set a timer or set the baking temperature.

I took a chance and I'm glad I did!
I researched mid price 30" gas ranges for three months, including Bosch, Samsung, LG, Bertazzoni, Thor Kitchen and finally Blomberg. I decided to take a calculated risk and go for this almost unknown ( at least in the USA) brand. Blomberg is a German company, and is the second largest appliance manufacturer in Europe. It was a total leap of faith because I never even saw the range in person. As of now, you can’t find them in appliance dealer showrooms. I based the decision on the few, but all good reviews I found, and because I loved the design and specs on Blomberg's website. No regrets at all! This range exceeded my expectations ever since the moment I saw it. This range is solid, it weighs in at 275 lbs. The oven is ginormous and all the features have great response. With true "European convection" this range has many features that you will only find on higher priced ranges. Even the oven door and handle stay absolutely cool to the touch no matter how high the oven temperature is. FWIW: Blomberg is apparently the contract manufacturer for Viking appliances, if that means anything to you. This is by FAR... the best range I've ever owned. Especially considering the price point and build quality.
