Fun toy
This is really a fun toy. A bit hard on the initial paring with my ancient android phone but probably easy with a new phone. Comes with a good antenna and the Bluetooth has good range as well. Comes preflashed so all you have to do is configure it (follow guide on Meshtastic.org) and you are set.

Solid performance but mediocre value
Product arrived with minor damage/printing defects in the case. Also excessive flashing at the seams that was pretty quick to remove with a razor - but still annoying to have to clean up a defective case prior to use at this price, which is roughly triple the cost of components. Given the glacial pace of shipping, I didn't bother trying to replace the product, as it functions fine and lives in a protective pouch most of the time anyway. The belt clip is far too stiff to be used without removing it from the case and pre-bending it a little - trying to do this while it is installed on the case will crack the case. I also have serious doubts about the durability of the included caribineer loop on the case - the plastic used for printing is quite brittle and I would not trust it to hold my device on its own.The board inside is a Heltec Wireless Tracker. For the price, that's slightly disappointing, though it performs well. Using the supplied antenna, had multiple successful TX/RX with a line of sight router node approximately 38 miles away.Location accuracy is about as good as you are going to get with the included GPS antenna. There is a port on the board for an external antenna and probably enough room in the oversized case to mount one with minor modifications.Battery life is decent, the case contains a single 18650 cell. The kickstand is remarkably useful, though I generally carry this device in an external backpack pocket. I would like to see lower profile or even recessed buttons- I sanded mine slightly in order to keep them from being pressed inadvertently.

Uninterrupted Connectivity
I purchased a few Spec5 devices to use around the farm back in October. So far, I've found two main uses for them. The bigger units that don't require a phone are great to keep in the truck as permanent communication devices. This lets anyone moving around always have a way to reach back home, even when driving through dead zones. This Trekker Bravo and the other Trekker essentially do the same for me. I'll carry these while I'm on foot, and it allows me to stay connected. It'll piggyback off of the bigger unit in the truck, so I'm always within range.

Disappointed
Sadly this broke with in a few days of arrival. It had only been unpacked and sat on my desk. The battery bracket snapped in half. I contacted SpecFive through their website for a replacement component and never heard anything back. I'll eventually fix it myself, but I can't recommend the product.

Impressive
Constructed very well. The built in GPS is accurate and the antenna is impressive for the size. I strapped this to a USB battery bank and works well for extended periods of time. My other ESP boards reset at power loss, not this unit. Pleased with this product.

Good option out of the grid
Not very easy to configure but it is a good investmen for long range communication out of the grid.

Sweet little devices that work great.
I got these for use with ATAK, in an "IF SHTF" scenario, and for group monitoring and communication while backpacking, hiking, and camping through the mountains. Very easy to set up out of the box. It litterally took less than 5 minutes to get them communicating with Meshtastic, and not much longer to communicate with ATAK using the right plug-in. Would definitely recommend these for purchase. Great off the grid communication!

Easy To Set Up Device. Works well.
This device can do much more than what I'm using it for. I'm simply using two of these devices for secure texting, which it does very well. Disabled GPS to increase battery time -- I wasn't interested in giving out my location. Incredibly easy to set up. Flashed and ready to work with right out of the box. Amazing!
