Great Value
Eye relief is a good 4 to 5 inches, the optic is very clear and the etched reticle is sharp and easy to pick up, even without illumination. It's a perfect match for my Ruger PCC build.

Better than expected
Strait out the box I was shocked on how well the glass was. The eye relief is a much better than the acog optic and allowed me to move it further away from my charging handle on my ar pistol. The shake and wake feature so far works after 10 minutes will shut off. the instructions said after 20 minutes of sleep it will shut off completely so before storing make sure the brightness is set to your liking. It came with an extra battery and one in the optic ready to go. The weight is nothing to worry about and the shake and wake is definitely adds to the value of the money .

Great overall but poor eye relief
The reticle is ultra clear, very easy to zero in.However the eye relief is pretty bad. I have to sit the optic all the way to the rear to have a sight picture

Great scope
I was going to buy a much higher priced prism scope before found the Monstrum prism scope. After watching a few videos and reading reviews, I thought I’d take a chance. The scope is so clear it definitely rivals the higher price scopes. I liked it so much. I bought a second one. I really like the DC – 1reticle and the shake awake is a great feature

It’s Ok for the price
The glass quality is actually excellent for the price point but the shake awake mechanism didn’t work on both the original and on a replacement i received so I returned both. Eye relief is not great but the reticle is sharp, useful, and bright. It’s also a bit hefty for its size. If you don’t mind remembering to shut it down so as to not drain the battery this is a good buy. It’s a shame because I was truly hoping these could be a solid budget alternative to Vortex or Primary Arms.

Pretty nice
Pretty cool buy lot of monstrum stuff lately, so far so good . Usually red dots or small scopes for ar . So far all seem to be good products. Like the fact most have crosshairs even when not illuminated like this one only sighted in but like it !

Solid Optic
I am pleasantly surprised. I bought this for an AR in 7,62x 39. The sight is mounted but not tested yet. It is mounted as far rearward as possible to accommodate the best eye relief. I had to remove the rear BUIS for this reason, but this optic has a great reticle so that did not hurt my feelings. This optic is clear and bright. And once the rear focus is adjusted, it’s a beautiful sight picture. The last test will be to see if it holds a zero. I haven’t tried yet. But based upon my experience so far, I’m rating it 5 stars. I will update once I make it go bang a few times, but I’m not anticipating any negative results. This 5 star review is not based on, “for a budget optic.” It’s my rating REGARDLESS of price. So far I am just thoroughly impressed.

Illuminated reticle too dim for daylight use
Optically this scope seemed good, although I never performed the acid test of aiming it within 20 or 30 degrees of the sun to see if it had glare from internal reflections. Otherwise, it had a clear and bright image that looked roughly true to the claimed 3x magnification. It's a bit on the heavy side, but hardware seems solid and it's good looking (in my opinion).I mounted it on a 9 mm carbine and easily got it zeroed at 25 yards. When I switched to shooting at an 8" Birchwood Casey Shoot-n-See bullseye at 50 yards, I ran into a problem: on a sunny winter day with the sun behind me, the red illumination of the reticle was too weak to see the reticle against the black target. A sun-lit black target isn't THAT bright, yet there was no contrast visible with the center dot even at the brightest illumination setting. I could only aim accurately when the center dot of the sight was eclipsing the orange center dot of the target, and even off a bench I found my hold was shaky enough that it wasn't easy to do that. From a less steady field position, I wouldn't have been able to aim at the black bullseye effectively at all.Whether the reticle would have been sufficiently visible against a different color target, I can't say, but this was a serious limitation since most bullseye targets are black. If this sight had the MX1 reticle some of Monstrum's other sights contain, with cross-hairs made of hash marks, I might have been willing to keep it and simply try to center the perimeter of the target with the cross-hairs where there was a lighter background, but since this sight has only the less precise partial box around the center dot, I unmounted it after firing about 20 shots and returned it.
