Got my vivarium up to temperature where a 5w one was failing.
Got this to go in addition to a 5w heating pad as the vivarium was no longer reaching temp and i noticed the thermostat was never turning the heater offI am running it with the heater dial turned all the way on due to using a proper temperature control to turn it on and off.heat is well distributed over the mat.The cable is plenty long and the plug is fused.Price is great at a tenner delivered!

Works ok . the 7w draws 18w to power
So for the energy concernedI expected the 7w heater to only draw 7watts but it is running at 18watts

Small and compact
This is a very small and compact heating mat. It has a reasonably slow wattage (7W), so it will not heat up very quickly, so make sure it is heating up a well sealed container. Besides the low power (which is good as it saves you energy) it is relatively small, which is good if you do not want to heat unnecessarily. Works quite well overall.
