Dark Horse Deluxe Dragon Age II: Flemeth Dragon Statue

There's surprisingly few dragon statues to choose from on the web. After a fairly extensive search I think this was on of the better ones, mainly just because it lacks most of the stylized features you typically see in dragons (tail barb, undersized wings, etc).No website says what it's made of, but I'm guessing it's resin, it's somewhat flexible, not McDonald's plastic. The color is purple, not the red shown on some other sites, but is darker than the picture here. On the bottom is printed the EA/Dark Horse copyright and the ubiquitous "Made in China". By my measure the size is about 4.5 inches tall and 11 wide wingtip to wingtip, although the body between the feet is only about 3 inches. I would rather call it a figurine than a statue, but it's not too small. There's nothing wrong with it and I give it -1 star only because it's kind of expensive.

I thank Joe Menna to sculpt this Flemeth Dragon Statue. Amazing in details and solid in accuracy. It is awesome and it looks like pop up from the Dragon Age II game. I am very grateful that I bought this figure because it symbolizes the game. It is an iconic figure. Feminine dragon could be molded as magnificent piece of art. I recommend this figure to all Dragon Age fans as well as fantasy role-playing fans. Proud dragons never die and live forever in our fantasy worlds.

So when you get the package in, its in this massive box Amazon box. Open up said box you see a big Dragon Age box around it. Open that box and you see the foam packing that takes up the entire space of the box. Open up the foam and... disappointment. Its very small, and I mean small. It doesn't even COMPARE to some of the statues I've collected over the years from Collector's Series video games like Assassin's Creed, Halo, Max Payne, etc. While the design and detail does look amazing, and the color is way darker like it should be in the games and not like the image above, was it worth the $40 some odd dollars I spent to get it?... Eh. I know statues like these are rare, especially when it comes to certain video games (I'm looking at you Legend of Zelda), the price definitely should have been cheaper, maybe in the $25-$30 range. This doesn't mean I'm not going to be keeping it, because I am a huge fan of the series (even if the second was less expansive as the Origns/Awakening). It just means I may hang onto the box just in case if I ever need the money and can sell it to another fan in the future if it becomes rarer than it is.

Gift came as described. Great packing job. No box damage whatsoever (unless you mind slightly crushed corners). A little bit pricey.The sculpt and paint job on Flemeth are phenomenal. Definitely a DARK PURPLE/ DARK, DARK PINK DRAGON for anyone who is wondering. It's also not that big (as people have described) but I think it's a fair price to pay for an item such as this. 9/10 figure definitely; you get what you pay for in a good way. If any future buyer is wondering about HOW BIG IT ACTUALLY IS, GET A RULER AND ESTIMATE YOURSELF MY HAND IS VERTICALLY BIGGER THAN THIS THING...I bought Flemeth as a gift for my best friend, who is a Dragon Age fanatic, and she LOVED IT. Quality Gift: would recommend to any Dragon Age fan.

I love my Flemeth. The detail is superb and the color is beautiful (not as pink as it looks in the picture; more like purple). She was smaller than what I imagined, but that could just be because I'm bad with measurements. All in all, a great buy.

for the price I was hoping it was bigger or sturdier. But no, its just a little plastic statue. However the detailing is really good and dragon age fanatic daughter just loves it!

My boyfriend bought this for me for our anniversary and even now as i look at it while playing Dragon Age Inquisition i cant help but smile. Flemeth has so much great detail and i love her wingspan too!

The picture appears to be pink and black. It's actually red and black. I got this for my girlfriend, thinking it was pink and black because she likes the two colors and she likes dragons. A bit disappointed, but she still liked it.
