Easy to read.

I bought this as a gift for a friend who is starting to develop her Christian Faith more. This is a lovely gift as it includes notes and study text to help explain different parts of the Bible. The NLT is also a clear and vibrant translation. Would recommend.

What a fantastic bible for everyday, ordinary women like me! There are TONS of informative articles on how to apply scripture to everyday life, how to study the bible, and lessons and explanations of a variety of hot topics. The inside pages are also as beautiful and colorful as the cover! The only thing hard to get used to is that the book names are on the side of the pages, not the top, but it's so beautifully written and graphically appealing that it doesn't take away from the Bible experience. I would also agree with another reviewer who indicated that it's hard to handle. I did purchase the soft cover because I like the flexibility of soft covers on all books, but this is a powerfully packed bible, so there are more pages than most bibles, and it can be a bit more difficult to hold and control, so to speak. But again, it's not anything that makes me like it any less. I may have liked the hard cover more, but all in all, the bible itself is amazing.
