SUPER FOR PEOPLE WITH DOGS / HORSES PICKS EVERYTHING UP HAIRS STRAW ETC
SUPER VACUUM , IF YOU HAVE DOGS , HORSES , PETS WITH HAIR , PICKS EVERYTHING UP , CLEANS RIGHT UP TO THE EDGES , NO BAGS REQUIRED SO MONEY SAVED THERE.IT IS QUITE HEAVY TO MANOUVRE ON HARD FLOORS , BETTER ON CARPET , AND TAKES SOME GETTING USED TO , AS IT DOESNT GO IN STRAIGHT LINES DUE TO THE BALL , YOU HAVE TO ANGLE THE HANDLE LEFT AND RIGHT.HAVING SAID THAT IT IS THE MOST EXENSIVE HOOVER I HAVE PURCHASED IN 30 YEARS , BUT WORTH EVERY PENNY , I CANNNOT FAULT IT , WILL CERTAINLY BUY ANOTHER DYSON WHEN NEEDEDTHIS HOOVER HOOVER GETS 5 STARS ***********

A great vacuum but let down by one thing
After our old DC40 packed in, we needed to find a replacement. We own a Beagle and need a powerful vacuum cleaner to clean up his hair and we felt that the DC75 fitted the bill perfectly. The DC75 has been great so far. It is a very powerful vacuum that picks up so much around the house, we sometimes can’t believe where it is getting it from and how quickly it’s dust bin fills up! The tools it comes with are also great and all have their own purpose and it also has no filters to clean and leave out to dry. Unfortunately there is just one thing that lets it down slightly for us and it’s the fact it’s so hard to move around! The older Dyson ball vacuums were always easy to move around the house while vacuuming but the DC75 is hard work! After 5 minutes my wrist is in agony! It just doesn’t seem to turn easy on hard floors or carpet. It also is heavy when comparing to other Dyson vacuums. I would recommend the DC75 if you want clean floors and have strong wrists!

Slightly disappointing with practical aspect but good suction
Not easy to manoeuvre at all and handle is flimsy. Suction power is excellent and I like the fact that there is no filter to clean but it is big and bulky, heavy and flimsy. May be try the more recent model as you don’t really need that much suction power (unless suction is the most important thing for you of course, in which case go for it)

One of the best buys to date...... fantastic bit of kit
Reading the reviews there are a few that say this is too heavy and it doesnt turn etc etc, and to be honest i was having second thoguhts about buying it. I am glad i bit the bullet and got it...... WOW WHAT CAN I SAY........ What a great hoover. I have got a Persian and Maine coon cat so both with long fine fur and it was getting stuck in the carpet. This dyson not only took up ALL the cats hair but jeez the amount of other dirt that was buried in the carpet.ITs not heavy to push.... I had my 84 year old mother pushing it around and in her words "whats all the fuss about this being heavy""" Its easy to control and does a fantastic job. It takes less than 5 mins to put together and worth every penny. The handle does not bend and twist as some have said...... its a VERY sturdy machine.

Worst vacuum cleaner ever!
This was a toss-up between another Sebo as mine had finally died after over 10 years of use, a Shark, or this Dyson. Sadly, I opted for this.It vacuumed impressively for the first couple of times but since then it has degenerated in performance until I am effectively pushing dust and dirt around the house. The edge to edge cleaning is nonexistent and it leaves a good centemetre around the edges of carpets, I have to empty the bin after EVERY ROOM (and I don't live in a mansion!), and the contents of the dust-bin has to be pulled out by hand and leaves residual dust everywhere unless you do it outside which means dust flies everywhere and it's pretty disgusting to do, meaning you have to wash your hands after vacuuming every room. This has been a very expensive mistake and how I wish I'd gone for another good, reliable and easy to use sebo again. It's become a huge joke in my house how much I hate hoovering with this useless thing. It's very heavy, cumbersome and really difficult to manoeuvre. The ball adds nothing, just a gimmick and makes it impossible to hoover under furniture. The tools are clunky and getting the hose back in after use is ridiculously fiddly and always feels like its about to break (the sebo was SO easy to go from upright to tools, and no I don't work for them!)Vacuuming on hard floors is so hard as without the rollers moving it weighs a ton and just pushes anything bigger than dust around. I have just spend 5 minutes trying to hoover up a tiny feather from a pillow and am so cross I came to write this review two years after buying it!Massively disappointed and wouldn't buy any Dyson product again nor would I recommend it. How I wish I'd gone with another good old sebo.

Impressive looking piece of technology but fundamentally flawed vaccum cleaner. Avoid.
Always had Dysons up to now and always recommended them but this is my first, and last ball model. The cleaner is undoubtedly powerful, possibly too much so. After its first use on our expensive thick pile carpet so much pile came away I was worrying what it was doing to the life of my carpet. The issues we had were manifold but I will try to be brief:1. The ball is ribbed and leaves very deep track marks (more like trenches!) on the carpet with the forward stroke which were only partially removed on the back stroke. There is no way to vacuum with this machine and not leave these marks. On this alone I had already decided it had to go back.2. Whilst it was supposedly slightly lighter than our previous Dyson it felt heavier because of the weight distribution. Vaccuming the home was considerably more tiring than it used to be.3. In contradiction of the advertising blurb, because of this weight distribution and the powerful suction it was very difficult to manoeuvre on cut pile carpet.4. The build quality seemed inferior to previous models, presumably to achieve a lighter weight. The rubber grommets around the ball were very flimsy and unlikely to last the test of time.5. It is very insecure when standing upright. If you have the removable hose even at only half of its reach it tips the machine over.I was wondering why the price of these ball models was tumbling and now I know. A machine to be avoided.

Great, but not suitable for everyone
Very powerful machine, used my old one and then went over again with this one and the tank was full within minutes. Amazing….Works very well on wooden floors and carpet, but not so well on deeper piled carpet becoming almost impossible to move.It is also on the heavier side, compared to others
