An excellent cordless vacuum cleaner
There is a small amount of assembly when the AEG is taken out from its box, but nothing more technical than a coin is needed (to turn a screw) and I had it ready in just a few minutes. Recharging only takes a few hours from flat, then gives around 20 minutes of use. I rarely need it to work for that long, but I’m glad that it can do so.There’s a row of LED lights on the front of the cleaning head and I must admit that at first I thought they were simply a gimmick. However, they’re actually very useful and would find them handy on my main vacuum too. Performance is good for a rechargeable unit like this one, and it surpasses expectations. It doesn’t vacuum as thoroughly as the full-size mains-powered unit that I normally use but it is great for those times when I just want to do a quick tidy, or if there is a small messy area. The rotating brushes built in to the head of the main unit are quite effective at lifting dirt, crumbs, hair etc especially in carpeted areas. We have a mixture of hard floors as well as carpets and use it quite happily on all of them. Emptying the bag-less dust chamber is easy too, and it’s washable to keep it fresh. The removable handheld unit which forms part of the bigger device is also good, and handy for cleaning on sofas etc. I couldn’t replace my big vacuum with this model, but I can definitely use this one most of the time and just use the bigger cleaner less often for a more thorough clean. I’ve used a number of rechargeable cleaners like this one, but this AEG design is by far my favourite from them all thanks to better design, quality and performance and I’d happily pick this one again if looking for a replacement. This particular unit has a great price compared with the newer AEG models, making it excellent value too.

we were very pleased with its lightness and performance
I bought this as it seemed to fit the bill for my requirements. At first, we were very pleased with its lightness and performance. It was easy to manouver into small spaces and was powerful enough to do a good pick-up. Then it started to cut out before we had vacuumed the first room with it, previously we could do most of the house on a charge. The running time then gradually got shorter and shorter and so I suspected the battery to be at fault.I dug out the guarantee only to find it had expired a couple of weeks previously, (isn't it always the case!). Ok, I'll source a new battery pack, I thought. It appears that the batteries are hard-wired into the hand unit on this machine, and cannot be changed without buying a whole new unit which is not, in my opinion, viable due to its cost.Very disappointing and seems to be a common problem with this machine according to the forums.I will stay well clear in future.

Great for tiles, pointless for carpet
Suction is not great but it’s ideal for my tiled floor (whole bungalow is tiled). If you have carpet I’d strongly not recommend. The low power mode is pointless doesn’t pick up anything, but high power mode is okay,This is the first cordless hover ive had and the freedom on no power cables is great. It’s small light and easy manoeuvrable, great for tiles. And for that reason im only giving 3 stars.

Terrible battery life
I have this vacuum, the battery seems to have stopped charging after fairly light use. Has anyone else had this problem? The replacement batteries are almost the cost of a new vacuum!!!

Great lightweight vaccum.
Great, 20 minute run time, short charge time compared to some. Nice and lightweight, good value, does the job and easy to empty. Very quick delivery, more than pleased.

Jack of all Hoover trades but a master of none.
The idea is great, two types of hoovers in one. It's pretty light too.Assembly seems straight forward, except the manual is terrible to use. 13 languages and each section is separated so you have to look at various bits of the manual to read the English section. It's made from pretty cheap plastic, so im not expecting it to last for years, however there isn't much in the way of moving parts, so time will tell.Where it really drops the ball is the suction. Take a powerful vacuum and place a roll of paper infront of it, and that's the level of suction you get.It will lift simple things, but anything with a bit of weight or something that's tangled by a single strand of hair won't be pulled into the Hoover. The hand held vacuum does work well however. It just isn't good enough in the up right Hoover mode. For this price I can't recommend it. Attach a more powerful motor and it may work.

Not powerful enough
As already mentioned... the instructions are absolutely awful, why the manufacturer couldn't list them in order is beyond me. Saying that though, it's easily constructed if you use common sense. The performance though lets it down and this is the reason I cannot recommend it. I understand the appeal of this type of cleaner, its mobile and you can simply grab it and go without plugging in etc although the reality is you will save no time at all! The suction is so poor that you will instead find yourself going backwards and forwards over the same floor section in order to ensure you have picked everything up which takes a while on a big carpet, its actually quicker to plug in a proper hoover and do the job properly the first time!

Attention prise
Bon aspirateurIl faut préciser que la prise électrique n est pas française. Il est donc nécessaire d acheter un adaptateur anglais français.
