Caran Dache Ballpoint Pen, Lemon Yellow, with SwissRide Blue Medium Cartridge

I tried Caran D'ache almost by accident some years ago, but after using it, I knew it was the smoothest ballpoint pen I was going to ever find. Now, in the past I indulged in one of their more expensive luxury metallic pens (they truly are pieces of art) but.... I lost a couple of them.... and so I have now decided to go with this plastic collection, which won't break the bank.. What I like: same smooth ink as the much more expensive versions; nice chunky hexagonal body which makes it very comfortable to grab; the metallic top and bottom give it a more elegant look than what an all plastic pen would have been; you can buy refills of the ink cartridge in Amazon (yes, this is the first pen that I have consistently been using enough to actually have to put new ink cartridges); this collection has nice happy colors to suit your mood, and all of them beautiful; they have matching mechanical pencils with just same swiss quality. On the cons, I broke the clip in one of them cause it's made of plastic, but now that I know better, I will avoid playing with it in my other pens. Highly recommended!

This review is for the Caran D'Ache 888 infinite ballpoint pen. The 888 is similar to the 849, which is much easier to find, except that it has a wider barrel and in my opinion a much smoother writing quality. I received this pen very quickly, the quality is perfect and I will definitely buy from this seller again. As a side note, the invoice came with a 3 cent stamp attached which marks "A century of friendship" between the US and Canada. Even if I weren't a stamp collector I would have considered this a nice touch but as a stamp collector this little detail was AWESOME. Thank you!!

Smooth writing and fits the hand well.

It’s a really good pen. I like to keep a special one on my desk for when I’m grading my students papers. Easy to write with and doesn’t hurt the hand if you use it too long.

I have owned several Caran D"Ache ball point pens over the years and this one does not disappoint. Even though it is a very affordable pen, it is comfortable and delivers a smooth writing experience.

I know this brand and used for years. I wanted to buy new one but it come with no box. The omage of pen sacrificed to a single box. I never buy a pen without box and this is the worst side of online shopping.

My favorite pen so far! I’ve never used a smoother, silkier pen, it literally glides across the paper!
