These tools are of great quality. Some need a little getting used to in terms of getting clean straight cuts and grooves, but that’s more to do with the fact that I am a complete beginner. There’s everything you need to get started, and then some. The handles and fixtures are sturdy and strong. The punches are good, sharp and strong. Be carful with the blades, they are very sharp, They arrived very quickly. I’m so glad I purchased this bundle. I visited Tandy leather Northampton and their prices are astronomical in comparison. If id have bought this set there it would have been £100s. I’d prefer to buy local, but when you can get a complete set in similar, if not the same, quality for the price of a single stitching groover, then I’m afraid I’m left with no choice. Highly recommend.

I personally find it genuinely useful to have a large selection of tools to play with to see what I actually really want to spend decent money on and go from there.Most of the tools are either unbranded, definitely cheapy chinese, and at least one is supposedly 'german designed' by 'Superly', a company that I can't find on the internet that may even slightly be german, can you? Let me know if so!The goods arrived in a nondescript brown box, without any tool descriptions or text, most are individually sealed.The positives..Majority of the tools are actually usable.Skiving tools are sharp enough out of the box to get work done.Polishing stick, thankfully, has a flat edge to prevent roll.Stitch chisels are heavy, albeit not overly sharp.Awl is 'okay'.The negatives..Roulette Stitching Wheels have a *lot* of horizontal play.Screw punch bits are blunter than a rock, and collar fell off on very first use (glueable though).The apparently 'German Designed Superly' skiver is next to useless.Awl is 'okay'.My take home from this is I'll need to buy a better Awl or two, and definitely better punches and stitching wheels. In the meantime I get to hack away at some leather and learn what I need and why.So 3 stars, could have been slightly better for the price, definitely not suitable for a present, but generally okay.Just let me know if you have any questions
