I am a vanity girlie and had the same Brookstone light up mirror for many years until the light started to dim and be unable to reach full brightness. I couldn't find the same model and similar ones were at least $200. I was willing to pay that if needed, but first I did a lot of research online to find a replacement which: plugged into the wall so therefore doesn't require me to constantly replace batteries, has adjustable angle, medium size (not the huge full vanity mirrors but one that can be moved around on a desk space as needed), lights up brightly, and has a magnified mirror. This one fulfills all of those requirements and I love doing my makeup with it - it is like a bright, longer iPad and has the magnetic magnified mirror that I can take on or off easily. The mirror is placed on a swivel so you can adjust it any way you want, and it also has 3 different lighting settings. Trust me it took a while for me to settle on this one, so if you are looking for a product of those specifications this is the one. I am hopeful that it will hold up over time since my last one I had for over 7 years.

It was very attractive but it didn’t put off enough light. Also the small magnifying mirror was a bit heavy so the larger mirror tilted to the side you attached it to.

The mirror was very modern looking. That’s the only reason for 1 Star. The smaller magnification mirror falls off all of the time since it is magnetic. The big mirror is also magnetic to the base. That also falls off. The magnification leaves much to be desired. It is basically the same as the big mirror. None of the light options are bright either. It isn’t worth the price! There are better ones that are cheaper out there!

Heavy, looks good in a room as a permanent fixture, doesnt look cheap like every other one out there.Its kinda small. And with that mirror in a mirror, its even smaller. For this price it should have been at least as big as the plasticy crud ones out there. Its not.Controls are easy. Battery lasts a long time. Its good.

When I bought this mirror, I didn't realize it was brand new to the market. However, I can say they have brought a great product to market. It looks a little like a tablet. It is a high quality mirror and the light is bright and doesn't create shadows. I don't keep the magnifying mirror attached most of the time, but if you wipe both the mirror and the back of the magnifying mirror as they instruct it stays in place. Recommended.

The mirror itself was all right, and sturdy. Worked well but the light could have been brighter, especially for the high price point.The attachment I don't understand the mirror, it slides around, falls off from a wiggle, and barely sticks. Such a weak magnet and is an awful design.If you want just one singular mirror with no zoom that lights up, sure it's great.

I am so in love with this mirror, I can see every last little stray brow that needs plucking and getting my eyeliner on exactly the way I intended has never been easier!My a.m. routine has beem streamlined - between the amazingly bright (&yes, @times unapologetically honest & cruel) light and that awesome little magnified mirror attachment, I've easily cut 15 minutes off my time just by avoiding mistakes, redos and constant repositioning trying to capture the best lighting.Plus, it comes in this cool drawer box to keep for storage 😎***Definitely Recommend

As others have noted, the light on this mirror dies within a month or so. If you press the button to turn it on it comes on for a split second and then goes off.Sadly, the company hasn’t responded to my request for a replacement or I would have given it another try. It’s nice looking but for the price it should really be tested for half-decent longevity.
