Flextone Thunder Chicken Turkey Decoy

Thunder Chicken works! Had a gobbler charge off of a ridge once he saw it. Been calling the bird for 20 minutes and he slowly made his way until his eyes locked onto this. I used a real fan, but think a jake fan would work too.Updated 2016 turkey seasonI use a real fan and not the one provided. I set up on the edge of a field because I saw some distant turkeys coming down the fence line. While I was sitting there a gobbler appeared about 200 yds away from another direction. I gave a few yelps and he spotted the Thunder Chicken. He came running at the decoy covering ground like I have never seen before. He got within a few feet and figured something was wrong. He was initially running so fast at the Thunder Chicken I could not shoot. Once he stopped it was over. Love the Thunder Chicken!!!

Durable rubber and nice looking fan. Colors vibrant. Im not excited abut the assembly and like all things rubber the packaging impacted the shape and makes it a little crooked as it sits on the stake. And it is a little wobbly. Slight wind will give it good mvement. Windy day will make it look like a crooked top.

I used it to walk toward a group of turkeys, and to my surprise they didn't run or fly away, they didn't get closer but they allowed me to get close enough to take them with shotgun!!

I put my decoy flock in the yard added thunder chicken decoy people stopped to look. Went by then come back to look. The hunting season is not open yet but that afternoon about 30 turkeys were back in the field thay saw my decoys and I ended up with them in my yard . I got some great pictures.It was fun to watch them .I hope it works like this when the season opens.

This is a joke, typical item made in China. Fan sits side ways, plus fan mount is bent, cheap plastic. You are suppose to use a blow dryer if need be, but plastic is so thin a child's blow dryer melted a hole in it. Stake sits off side so the decoy sits at an angle.I cut mine up, only using the head and part of body. Cut the fan mount off, and am making my own. This is flat out junk, not worth the money, put your fan on a pie plate, and paint a turkey, would be better than this.

The decoy itself is ok, but never had any real noticeable results being used as a typical decoy.. I found it to be a deadly stalking tool when substituted with a real gobbler fan. The tactic is not for the faint of heart as you will be within flogging distance if utilized correctly. Definitely gives the hunter a much needed edge when bow hunting.

Gobblers react IMMEDIATELY to this decoy!Expect them to at least stop - they will usually approach aggressively.In any case, their attention will be fixed on the decoy - NOT you.Because this decoy is small and light, carrying it, even on LONG hikes is no problem.Real tail feathers complete the illusion.I would definitely recommend this decoy.

Saw commercials where hunters were having turkeys come in at 5 yds+ My turkeys just ran away.
