First you need to make sure that your cabinet hinges are self-closing. In order to find this out, just open your cabinet door a couple of inches and let it go. If your door closes it has self-closing hinges, if it does not close and stays open your cabinet hinges are not self-closing and not one soft close damper in the market will work. Now you need to find the right location to install the damper. Always use the top corner closest to the hinge. Our installation movies and literature will show you the right location depending on the item that you will be using. All our products come with installation hardware; you will only need a screw driver. Install our soft close damper and close the door. Our corner and pin dampers are adjustable according to your door size and weight as well as to the self-closing strength of your hinge. Try closing the door and see how it works. If you are not satisfied the way it closes, open the door and adjust by turning the grey screw or the damper itself from the front.
