Peugeot Tokyo Natural Wood Salt Mill, 16cm/6-1/4-Inch, White Matte

I ordered this twice and received a mill with the colors reverse (white base, wood top). Don't trust the pic!

I am absolutely in love with these salt and pepper grinders. My fiancé and I have searched for months to find the perfect replacement for our beloved Hammersøi grinders (turns out porcelain shatters impressively when met with a granite countertop).Peugeot is a solid brand and these grinders absolutely do not disappoint. They are very well constructed. I love the clean design and they feel good in the hand. I have small hands, so I tend to be picky about the size of grinder. I also do a lot of cooking, so I don't want the grinder too small forcing me to refill every other day. These are the perfect size! We've had our grinders for about two weeks now and, despite daily use, we have not had to refill either one. I know a couple of others have posted that they are difficult to refill, but I don't find that at all. In fact, I almost have to wonder if those reviews are for another grinder entirely because these are incredibly easy to refill. Our 9-year-old son, who loves to figure out how things work, opened and filled them without instruction the day we received the grinders in the mail!Another perk, which we discovered the hard way with our Hammersøi grinders, is the slight flare in the base. My fiancé and I both can be a bit clumsy in the kitchen and we have yet to knock one over bustling around while cooking!I will note that I did drop the white salt grinder trying to carry too many things from the dining room to the kitchen... I just adore these grinders and I couldn't believe that I would be so careless as to damage one so soon! As it fell, I even tried to cushion the blow by trying to catch it with my foot!! Nonetheless, it landed right on the edge of the painted top part. I was so scared to pick it up and see the damage. Imagine my surprise when, after careful inspection, not a dent, chip, or scratch could be found!!!! Well done Peugeot. Another quality product.

Le moulins n'est pas réglable. De plus la tête ce desserre tout le temps. Ce qui n'est pas pratique à la longue.Le mécanisme en revanche fonctionne bien et n'a pas l'air de s'abimer pour le moment (il est garanti à vie). En dehors de la têtes qui se desserre, le moulin est très bien fini.

Die Mühle sieht wirklich schön und hochwertig aus.Leider ist es nicht so leicht wie erhofft, den Mahlgrad einzustellen- da hätte ich mir mehr erhofft.Manchmal verkanten sich Salzkörner. Das ist durch schütteln der Mühle aber schnell behoben.Alles in allem eine sehr solide, sehr schöne Mühle.Sehr robust und bisher unkaputtbar. Wir haben sie nun über ein Jahr in Gebrauch und nach wie vor tut sie einwandfrei, was sie soll.

Nicht nur ein schönes Design, auch eine überzeugende Funktion. Der Mahlgrad kann stufenlos eingestellt werden. Würde ich jederzeit wieder kaufen...

La vis de réglage sert aussi à tenir le bouchon de remplissage, à chaque utilisation elle bouge aussi...reconditionné: "défaut mineur" je m'attendais à une rayure.. reçu dévissé avec du sel partout dans le carton, colle des étiquettes amazon sur le moulin difficile à enlever..
