This brush is great for curly hair. The one side detangles pretty well and the other one is great for smoothing and creating clumps. The only downside to this brush is it's size. I feel like it could have been made a little less bulky and thinner. But I'm sure it's made like that for a reason. Overall a good quality brush and I'd recommend it for shaping your curls during wet styling.

So I actually had to come back an edit my review because I realized I was taking about the wrong brush. This brush is still solid for detangling but it also low key pulled my hair out at times, so not great there. Overall, I still enjoy it, but I’d recommend being careful and very aware of what the brush is actually doing. I can’t say it added any definition or anything helpful, but it did help make styling slightly easier after having used it to detangle. It’s also pretty okay for giving a little bit of body and silk to my hair after I’ve worn it out stretched (but not straightened). Not bad but not as good for me as the reviews would have many believe.

I’ve tried so many different detangling brushes and just dealt with the pain associated. This is the first brush I ever owned that offered PAIN FREE detangling AND took way less time to detangle compared to my other brushes. I love this brush!I also like how it is dual and has a nice nonslip grip. Awesome purchase and totally worth the investment!

I have been a naturalista for over ten years. While I love being natural, the struggle of finding that “perfect” product, brush or comb is REAL! I have searched and searched for a brush that could detangle my hair without breaking it, or just simply getting stuck mid way (my hair is really thick). I purchased this on a whim and it has been A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I love the two sided feature, which allows for me to both detangle and define my curls with ease. It also has a thick handle, which makes the brush easy to grip. I also over love the feature that allows me to stand the brush on my counter! This brush has been a game changer for my wash days. It’s definitely worth it!!!

Favorite brush!

It’s a great brush, detangle hair really quickly, especially good for thick hair. The brush is strong and sturdy and also like it defines and smooths curls good. I recommend.

This brush was a big disappointment. It does live up to the hype/claims. Two of the most disappointing: (1) Hard plastic and (2) Difficult to grip. I have kinky 4C textured hair. This brush is made of hair plastic and has absolutely no give. Nothing is soft. I expected the bristles to be silicone or a rubbery material to make it softer. Nope, just hard plastic. If the brush was made of a softer material, it would be a better brush. Lastly, the brush is hard to grip when wet. The brush keep slipping out my hand because I only detangle my hair when it's wet.

I’m honestly shocked of how easy it is to detangle my hair ! I’ve been searching for a great quality brush for wash days. Unfortunately, I’ve been doing a little trial and error with detangling tools and loosing hair form breakage in the process. My sister recommended this brush for her 4B hair, which we have similar hair texture. I used it a few days ago for my wash day with a great conditioner and it was sooooo seamless and effortless when using the detangling side! I had normal shedding that’s not a result from the brush.
