Purchased for grandchildren and they LOVED it! Loading the magazines is tricky - there are 4 chambers with spring slides. The design is for the slides to pull and remain in a notch while loading, but some of the notches don't hold the lever firmly which then ejects whatever balls you have inserted. Recommend using something like a popsicle stick to make sure the levers stay in place until loading complete and the cover is put back over the balls.Balls are soft, but still could cause damage to lightweight glass (think a glass ornament) or if hit in the eye, so goggles are a must. There are accessory ones that are available and match the Nerf blaster colors, or just regular safety goggles.Don't forget the batteries. The compartment is easily accessed through one screw and they all go into a removable cartridge making installation very easy.

Got both of these for my 2 boys. Went through 24 D batteries and they BOTH do not work!! How can both nerf guns be defective?!?! Frustrating beyond belief. Wish I could give zero stars

Garbage! Ordered the pack. Only one of them worked. Bought for a 11 and 8 year old and talk about heartbroken having to send them back. Big disappointment for Christmas presents.
