I looked at several different options for a roof top rack system and settled on the Ark. I liked that it offered an extension. First the good/great parts. Very sold. Very easy to mount on the car. It comes with a cargo net and straps although one of my straps was missing a part. Over all a great buy.My suggestion for improvement would be this. First, while the assembly is not hard or complex better instructions would make this go faster. The instructions are pictures that are not totally clear.Second, if I were Ark I would invest a little more and also send screws that were also black. That would just make the fit and finish in line with the other quality components.Over all I am very pleased with my purchase.

This product has thus far met my expectations. It came as described and included the shown accessories. It is sturdy and should fulfill it’s purpose. The frame is nice and stiff and was fairly easy to assemble. The attachment system is well made and grips the crossbars nicely. After reading about some buyers complaining about rust, I played it safe and sealed the joints prior to assembling, primed the assembled rack and applied two coats of bed liner. It looks great, and should have no corrosion issues. Others may not want to have to “fix” a brand new item. However, even with the cost of a couple of cans of bed liner (I had the black RTV and primer), it still costs significantly less than other “higher quality” racks, and should work great for my needs. I’ll update if I have any issues. It’s rained a couple of times since I installed it and have seen no evidence of rust. Note: There were no graphics on the front plate as shown in the picture. I was disappointed at first, but now I can have my wife customize it for me on her Cricket, and match my paint color. So a win for me. Would recommend with the above caveats. I paid full price for this item and have received no compensation whatsoever for this review.Update 10/21:Have had it installed 24/7 for a couple of months now and still no rust. It does make a fair bit of noise at even slower (35 mph) speeds but not annoyingly so (IMO).

It took about 10 minutes to install the rack on my roof. The instructions weren't exactly correct for installing the front wind plate, but it came with all the necessary equipment and it works great. The rack didn't budge at all on my road trip that lasted 2 weeks with ~1,700 miles of driving.When I first got the delivery, it didn't come with the cargo bag, but this shop was incredibly helpful and got the bag out to me in time for my trip. The bag is kind of awkward (as reaching anything on top of your car will be), but it is definitely waterproof and it works great. While I had loaded the bag by myself when it was on top of the car already, it's easiest to use the bag with two strong people - fill the bag on the ground and then lift it up onto the car and then secure it.I haven't used the cargo net yet, but I did a test install of it and it seems like it will do the job if you use it instead of the bag.I'm really happy with this purchase!

Ready enough to install. Hubby had no problem. Packed the SUV inside and out for trip from South La to TN. Worked well held lots on top. More than expected. No noise or drag that we noticed. Came with net and bag. Good deal. Great trip

What impressed me the most about this item/product is that I ordered it on a Tuesday and received it at my front door on Friday of the same week!!.. Very fast shipping!! Assembled with no problems and fits perfectly with no wind noise while driving!! Very satisfied with Ark Motoring!!

Fast shipping. Great packaging but unfortunately it didn’t fit my new RAV4 d/t fixed roof bars

When I read the description of this roof rack I was given the impression that no roof rails were needed. WRONG! I bought this to use on my Chevy Equinox and to my disappointment it needs rails to be put on your roof. I do not have rails on my car. A giant waste of my money. To big and heavy to return so....... very disappointed.
