good quality materials and very functional
Shelter 12x12 Screendome Mtn View This was a highly rated new product in a magazine I read and after looking at the photos here, I decided to order it. It seems well made, provides a very large roof area and I think it's attractive. The screens zip off and there are 2 extra shades provided which hook to the inside. My only gripe is that it took me 45 minutes to set it up by myself. They say 2 people- ten minutes but I'm very experienced at setting up tents and although I might find some shortcuts, this will take some time to erect. It's design should handle wind and rain well. After I use it a few times, I'll report back. I think this unit is worth the money. Pros: Well constructed, attractive, smooth operating zippers, good quality materials and very functional. Cons: Difficult and time consuming to assemble, poles stick making it hard to push them through the fabric loops, incomplete assembly instructions.( could use more detail and set up hints.) I will try to assemble it with the screens zipped out next time and perhaps that will speed things along.

This was great for camping...instructions are weak.
I am really glad I bought this, but the first time we put it together was frustrating. The directions are pictures and hard to follow, but once you figure it out it's easy. The main problem was I didn't realize the pins went in the bottom of the poles at first. So, easy- two poles cross at the top of roof, then other poles cross over each door with overlap. For the door poles, do one at a time putting the pin in the bottom of each pole at the base. I watched the tension on the screens, and unzipped them if it looked stressed, but once you get the pole in, secure with pins, then clips, the tension is uniform. A second person to pull the pole back while the pin is inserted is extremely helpful. This was great over picnic table with room for camp chairs in corners!

2 issues, 1st, missing grommet on stake pole, last horrible to pitch.
The poles would not stay together ( after being unfolded and placed inside each other) when threading into the canopy. The tip to secure the grommet to the end of the pole was missing. My husband was able to devise a sleeve out of ppc to substitute after the pics were taken. That’s why it looks crooked in the pictures. I contacted the seller twice and NEVER got a response. I ordered replacement part kit that I never opened. You need an engineering degree to figure out pitching it. Gotta keep screens attached to the canopy to help even out stake distance. The poles are not Interchangeable. Used it twice in 1 year. If you are up for a challenge, I’ll sell it to you cheap.

Impossible for one person to assemble! Not stated any where in the ad!
This product is extremely hard for one person to our together! Had I known that I would have never ordered it. I tried to refine it because one pole broke while I attempted to out it together but Coleman would not take it back even though it was within the warranty period. Buyer beware! I will not but Coleman products any more!

Great for camping or the beach!
I was looking for an alternative canopy that could handle more wind and be a bit easier to transport. This dome is perfect! We went through several of the traditional style canopies with the scissoring aluminum struts. A good wind or a pull in the wrong direction ruins them quickly. This dome has fiberglass tent poles that allow for some bending in the wind. It's easy to set up once you get the hang of it -- one person can even do it alone, though two people make it easier. When taken down, it all fits into a small carry bag. We use it when camping and we also use it during our Florida beach vacations. People often come up to ask about it because it is so different from everything else on the beach. We love it. Highly recommend.

Awkward sizing, doesn't fit on most campsites, leaks like a *&)*&^)*&^
The shelter didn't fit at either of the last two campsites I stayed at. It covered the picnic table but was too big for the space. The main door won't zip up without a fight unless you get the staking perfect. It only comes with 2 panels, and although it says in the description only two, it's pretty stupid and pointless to only have two included. If it rains be prepared that literally everything under it will be as wet as if it was sitting out in the open. It's really only good if you put it up in an open field, otherwise, save your money.

Functional & Flexible
Loved this product. Got it for beach camping. Kept the bugs out and also enjoy the modular aspect of it. I can open/close the shades depending where the sun is at or how windy it is as well as open/close different sides as entry ways depending how the camp site is set up.

Great with a Tear drop!!!
Love this tent over the back of my teardrop trailer. the design is bright, and very spacious. It provides a great kitchen area for my clam shell kitchen and space for a table and 3/4 chairs. It protects well from the bugs and survived our first significant thunderstorm very well. What bothers me is, they only provide 2 solid walls....why not 4????????? And it would benefit from a floor. They really should reconsider this!!!!
