Easy hook up. Did not degrade audio quality to amplifier. Needed it to connect tv audio out to my hearing aids.Worked perfectly. Audio to hearing aids is fantastic.I read reviews on several similar devices and they talked about signal degradation. Find none here.Very happy and the price was great.

Very Helpful for Optical devices.
This works well with Roku TV when the main device is optical and you want to hook other devices such as a sound bar. This device let me hook up two more devices if need me so I have one more thing I can add.

Short pigtail has to be plugged into source, I would have preferred female in put to allow placement at remote location. My fault for not reviewing closer, I will be able to use, just not in preferred location.

The item works flawlessly as described. Split optical to soundbar and Bluetooth transmitter with no issues or sound loss

Works great allowing me to listen to TV thru my bluetooth speakers.
My TV has a digital audio output, but not a good bluetooth output. My surround sound system has a digital audio input but no bluetooth output. This device is basically a digital audio hub which allows me to send the audio to both my surround sound system and to a MEE Bluetooth Connect audio transmitter and on to my bluetooth EarPods. So If I want to listen to just my surround sound system I can do that. Or if I don't want to disturb anyone, I can mute my surround sound system and just play the audio through my EarPods. It is the best solution I could find and it is works very well.

Works to split optical outlet on older tv
Works well to split optical outlet from one to two for headphones for older tv. We also needed a splitter for USBA plug for headphone receiver we ordered, but already had one on hand. I suggest you see if you need both for your TV like we did.
