Better and cheaper than the XC-3
I bought these to replace some Rossignol XC-3 boots which were a bit too big. I find the XC-2 design better than the XC-3, even though it is less expensive. The XC-3 has a drawstring which tends to slip, so I had to knot it - the laces of the XC-2 stay put better and are not more difficult to use. And the front strap of the XC-3 I just found got in the way. Both XC-2 and XC-3 have a cover that zips over the laces to prevent them getting caked with ice, which works quite well. So the XC-2 is better value to me overall.

Poor Quality Heel Padding
The paddings in the back collapses and bunches up after moderate use and they become unusable happen to 2x pairs

Easy lace up and zippered protection of the laces which makes for easy on, off, and stays tied.

I am very satisfied with these boots.
These boots fit well, are comfortable, nice looking, easy to put on, fairly warm and reasonably priced. Since they are not very high, a loop to attach a gaiter hook would be helpful for skiing in deeper snow.

Clean design
Sized as expected. Nice fit, with good support. Overall, pleased so far. Have not have a chance to try them yet. Consider them a good purchase unless there is a problem, then I will update this review.
