Cute, works, not competitively priced
I purchased this out of desperation in an airport because I needed to charge my phone on a flight where they didn't have phone chargers in the seats. I paid $50 at a kiosk. The unit came pre-charged and charged my phone easily during the flight, probably within an hour or two it was back up from 0 to 100%. Since then it has come in handy on the trip when I could not get to a charger or couldn't stay in one place long enough to charge up the phone. I have used at least three or four times to give my phone a full charge. It seems that Anker makes a similar item with more amp hours and a better price. Also, the scant number of reviews of this Mipow item are telling -- and half of them seem fake. Overall the unit seems solid and is well designed. It is the size of a monster lipstick. The materials and quality seem good. Mine is white with a green rubber cord and silver trim. It comes with a small gray velvet drawstring carrying bag. Serves me right for not planning ahead, and airport shops are always overpriced, but I am docking a star for the cost of the unit. If it lasts a really long time I'll come back and edit my review to give it one more star.

So far, so good!
So far, the device has met and exceeded expectations. I love the fact that you don't have to carry not one, but two cables around as you do with many battery banks. You simply charge via the USB and then charge your phone with the Lightning cable.Nothing to lose, not even the cap! Seems very well built and my wife loves the color!

Stops phons keyboard function
Purchased this as a Christmas gift for my daughter to use with her new IPhone XR unfortunately when it connects to the phone by Bluetooth The phons keyboards stop working. The first time it happened was right after I set up the phone and installed the app I then spent the rest of my Christmas morning on the phone with apple trying to figur out what happened I ended up having to wipe the phone and start over as apple support could not figure it out. It was not till the next day when I installed the app for this charger again that we realized that this was that reasion for the keyboard problem.I have not yet tried to reach out to the company so this rating may change.

A little on the slow side, but has some interesting features
I received this as a free review sample. NOTE: this is designed for and only works with Apple devices equipped with a Lightning connector.As a battery back-up alone it's a little on the pricey side for 3000mAh, but it has some features that set it apart. Specifically the phone (and battery) finding capabilities and the slide changing feature if you are a road warrior who gives a lot of presentations. I tested this with an iPhone 5s, and briefly ran through the functions that are made possible via the JuiceSynch app. Since those features are described in detail in both the product description and photos I will not repeat them. I will say that they work as claimed.The capacity is a little on the anemic side for tablets and the larger iPhones in the 6 and 6plus ranges. Moreover, you need to know that while it holds 3000mAh, realistically it is going to give you about 2100mAh of charge. That's because every battery based on this technology, regardless of brand, loses 16% of its rated capacity from heat and the transfer process, and another 14% in the charging cable's inefficiencies. All brands have this efficiency loss.2100mAh is still 1.5 times the capacity of an iPhone 5-series internal battery, and for the higher capacity 6-series it will still provide a margin of additional use time. Of course an iPad is going to quickly consume the entire capacity.Another factor regarding the battery is it charges (and discharges) at 1 Amp. That means that on an Apple wall charger this will take about three hours to fully charge, and from a PC's USB port, up to six hours. Plus, it is not the quickest when it comes to charging up your iPhone. However, the additional features are a reason for a road warrior or anyone who makes a lot of presentations to get this.
