I bought this book for my 4.5/5 year old since I remember having this book read to me. He absolutely loves it! Tommy DiPaola is an amazing storyteller and illustrator. Buy this book! It harkens back to the good ole days with ones' grandparents.

I love Tomie dePaola and his childhood stories. "TOM" is definitely my all time favorite! The first time I read this story to my first graders, my mom was in my classroom helping. She enjoyed it just as much as the kids. I look forward to reading this book to my kids at the beginning of every school year and get many requests throughout the school year to read the "chicken feet" book again.

This is a great book for teaching personal narrative.

This is a story retold from the authors own past experiences. The five year old crowd finds it funny and very much a conversation starter.
