Gold....
I'm glad someone is finally making a Homekit doorbell. This had 5 stars to start because of that.-1 for being ugly, and not secure. the GOLD bracket uses a standard Philips head screw for the security screw, and it's on top of the unit in plane sight. I mean, Snoop Dogg may want a gold doorbell, maybe Martha Stewart, i'd be happy with gray or black.-1 for not being easy to install. If you're lucky enough to have not only long doorbell wires but sufficient space to shove them this is for you. For those with not a lot of wire, or a closet behind the doorjamb to hide said wire the install of this was,... problematic. I had to make use of the (thankfully included) extensions. And the angle bracket (I didn't need an angle) just to have someplace for the wires to be stashed. So all that said. Once actually connected, it connected to HomeKit very easily. The video quality is nice, everything works as expected. For a first gen, and (I think) first device on the market, it's a good one, but I'm hoping someone makes something better down the road.

Customer service non existing, cheap unit in any way you look at it.
It is a, so so unit and frankly surprising that it passed Apple's usually tight review for MFI products. Unit goes off and needs a restart frequently. Unit is very creepy plastic and takes just a minute to steal or remove. mounting an additional hardware is well below the quality that one would typically expect from what looks to be a viable contender in the market. When the unit did not work upon installation, there was no response or any follow up on From the maker.. The sound quality is so bad its unusable...Sorry but cannot recommend this...

Great Quality Camera that is simple to install
This is my fourth smart doorbell I've installed so far and I have to say, this was the easiest. The Ring and Arlo video cameras I've installed in the past had oddly positioned screws that needed to be removed or needed a special release tool to "pop" the camera apart from its mount. There's really none of that here. It doesn't come with a release pin to help pry it out if needed but I didn't need that at all. Simply remove the one screw above the unit and the camera pulls out of the housing. This design also allowed for lots of room to wire it in. Camera's I've installed in the past have absolutely no lead wire. Or they give you lead wire but expect you to jam the two wire nuts behind it... which sometimes just isn't feasible. Again, there's none of that here. The camera housing leaves plenty of room for the wiring. I didn't have enough lead wire after using the angle bracket with my mount. I was able to take a couple wire nuts and some spare 18 AWG wire to make extensions without a problem. There wasn't any pushing hard or trying to Macgyver it in. It was a very simple installation that is accommodating for any door trim.Inside there is a small component that is wired parallel to the chime (it's a small plastic, oval block that sticks to the side of thee chime and has two spliced wire leads using a wire clamp connector and is attached to either side of the chime and the source power). It goes on pretty easily but be careful when plugging in the "wire harness" to it. The internal power connector is tiny and albeit fragile.Setup was a breeze. I prefer HomeKit devices that allow me to use the Home app to pair the accessories. The process takes just a few minutes. This is a great product!!

Worked for 30 minutes then failed.
I have tried 3 of these doorbells. The first one I returned because when assembling the wiring adapter that attaches to the chime the wiring socket broke off from the circuit board. The second doorbell arrived and I installed but after working for long enough to configure in Homekit the device then stopped working and even a reset made no difference. The third unit suffered the same fate. I even changed out the 24v transformer to eliminate power variations as an issue. The device installed and worked for about 30 minutes but then failed to respond. I? tried resetting but noting worked to get the doorbell to function.

Could Not View Away from Home Network & No Support
I could not view the video feed when I was not on my home Wifi network. I tried to find support to resolve the issue but there wasn't any. I emailed Yobi and never heard a response -- it's been over 3 weeks now. Also when I purchased it, I missed the fact that it didn't record. I assumed that was a standard issue for video doorbells. Guess not.

No video recording and the transformer leads are garbage
Cables kept slipping out of the leads you attach at the indoor transformer/bell. Didn't even get a chance to power it on. The software may have passed Apple's tests, but the hardware is cheap garbage. Do yourself a favor and get a Hello or Ring. My Hello, while not HomeKit compatible, took me about 10 minutes to install.

Sadly we had to return it since it did not work with our "Chime Doorbell"
The Yobi did not work with our Chime Doorbell. It just went clunk so we returned it. While I love the concept of being able to work with Apple Homekit without monthly fees it did not have an audio quality that was easily usable. In addition they do not yet have a video feed to the Apple cloud. However I am waiting for future upgrades so I can give this another try. Read the trade reviews and be sure your doorbell is compatible before you order. I wish them great success with this in the future.
