The most practical and cost effective baby monitor!
OMG, so much easier than my WiFi connected baby cam!I had an iBabyCare (older model now) for my oldest. It was a nice idea, but the reality with all the extra bells and whistles with the app-based WiFi cameras is you have to download an app to sync WiFi settings to the camera, which takes way longer than it should and doesn’t always work the first time. You have to ensure you have a good WiFi connection in the baby’s room. And when you finally have it up and running, the app just eats at your phone batteries. It was such a pain to setup we never bothered taking it on trips, even though it would’ve been pretty darned useful especially visiting grandparents. The HeimVision literally worked right out of the box — plugged in the camera, turned on the monitor and it’s up and running. There’s less lag than my other camera and no frame drops. Reception has been good all around the house. You can go audio only, audio + video, or just do the video, bc there’s actually a visual indicator for the noise level in the baby’s room. The night vision is also great! (See attached photo, taken at night from a room with blackout curtains) I have it setup with a smart plug to remote turn the camera on and off, and it’s working like a charm! At the end of the day, this is the most practical baby monitor a parent could ask for, and a fantastic deal for its price!

This is a great deal
PROS: the price is very worth itTemperature is very precise (our old monitor was 3-4 degrees off)-has a removable battery so over time if the battery wears down you can insert a new one-Great long distance signalThis one comes with an antena on the monitor and an antena on the camera itself so they stay connected %100. 5 bars all night.CONS: During the day while I'm cleaning or watching tv or if im showering the volume is not loud enough.-The little leg stand on the back is super fragile & almost not strong enough to keep the monitor upright.-the antenna is fragile too. I accidently pulled it off when I pulled it up.-Bright blue light on monitor. We had to cover it to be able to sleep.

Pros and cons review
I will get straight to the point.Pros:1. No internet needed , no need smartphone, no app, no subscription2. Great for non-tech savvy, easy setup3. Affordable price4. Interchangeable lens regular and wide lens5. VOX mode is helpful it immediately alerts me when baby cries6. Large monitor screen with foldable antenna7. Can split screens to monitor 2 rooms simultaneously (if you have 2 cameras)8. Daytime mode is good quality9. Charging cords are longCons:1. Volume on max volume makes static noise.2. Blue light on monitor and camera is constantly on.3. Temperature is not accurate. Beeps when temperature goes lower than 68°F degrees4. Fully charged rechargeable battery last less than 3 hours .5. Can only check in on baby when you're within transmission range6. Charging the battery for monitor takes too long.7. Night vision are grainy and pixelatedConclusion: For this affordable price it's a simple no internet monitor/camera. If you are looking for all the bells and whistles this is not the camera for you.

Good enough for us.
I’d say this monitor does just what we wanted it to do—see our baby while he’s in his crib. For that I am happy. However, I am slightly disappointed about some features: the video monitor screen turns on with very little noise - including white noice and fan noice, so the video is always displayed or flashing on and off. We keep the video screen in our room awhile we sleep and the brightness of the screen flickering on and off randomly makes it hard to sleep. I cannot adjust the brightness of the screen to make it dim enough to sleep. Also, the sound is very quiet. In a perfectly quiet room, I can hear the baby crying on the monitor, but during the day when the other kids are awake, the noice of life covers up the highest volume setting. The picture quality is definitely good enough in my opinion. We make it work but if you’re looking for something with great quality of sound and features, this may not be the monitor for you.

It does the job.
We're going with 4 stars. This unit we purchased with an Amazon sale discount and felt that what we paid was worth the unit.As stated in many prior reviews, the battery life is a little bit limited compared to ita competitors. The night vision from far distance is a bit grainy but still absolutely useful. We use a white noise machine that registers on the camera as fullest volume noise so we don't use the sound wake up feature. The lullaby and speak through the device features both work as described. The mounting that comes with the unit is above average for manipulation. It also comes with an extra "wide angle" lens, which we use. It increases the picture area by a good amount. This could be why out night vision is grainy, but I have not tested the regular lens at far distances in the way we use the wide angle lens.Temperature monitoring isn't always accurate but close enough.Would be buy it again? If it were on sale, yea.

Good picture, really nice range!
I wasn't sure about this baby monitor and almost returned it because my daughters couldn't hear me when I was talking to them. I realized I was covering the microphone with my finger when I was talking lol. Im glad I decided to keep it, it's helped me alot with two girls sharing a room who think bedtime means playtime!🤣 I like that I can bring it out to my garage or yard which will be nice in the summer time!Edit: April 2021. The monitor in my girls room is now not working. They never touch it, it only gets plugged in at the end of the night when we use it. Beyond disappointed! This is our 4th we have bought and I thought we finally found a good one. Took a crap, less than 4 months later. Look for a different one if your considering purchasing this!
