Good saw, Excellent instructions, Plenty of power
I've had the saw for just a couple of weeks and it's great. Should problems arise in the future I'll amend this review. I work alone so moving a 400-500 pound piece of equipment can sometimes be tricky. This one wasn't much of a problem. The saw came bolted to a crude pallet and reaching in to undo those bolts required a few contortions. With bolts gone I was able to move the saw enough to remove the pallet and to level it to the shop floor. The instructions that come with the saw are the best I've ever received with a stationary tool. Very thorough and lots of clear photos. And the hardware was spot on and in packages you open as you need them. All the hardware was included and easy to identify. The instructions mention both metric and inch tools but I think the hardware is all metric. For example Jet suggests using a half inch wrench to tighten a certain nut. But a 12mm wrench fit better. Paint and finish is very good. The preservative on the bare metal pieces needs kerosene to be removed (Jet cautions against using mineral spirits, etc) and you can get kerosene at Home Depot. The manual gives detailed steps for changing the alignment of various parts if necessary. I was lucky as nothing needed to be changed in the saw I got. YouTube has a good short video by Alvaro Gomez on unboxing and assembly. If you work alone his method of attaching the extension tables is a clever way to do that. The saw comes unwired for use. A small junction box on the lower back of the saw is where you'll need to wire in your power cord. Here Jet provides no instructions. Another good YouTube video by Jacob Truax shows how to do this. The only negative so far is that the motor cover latch doesn't fully close the cover to the saw base.A month later the saw cuts great and still gets five stars. A couple of things would make it even better:The on/off switch is hard to see and I have to bend a little to reach it. It would be nice if the saw shipped with a large paddle switch for quick power downs.Almost everyone buying this is going to add an outfeed table (surprised Jet doesn't offer to sell you one - they sell extension tables). The outfeed table will have slots routed for the miter gauge so you don't want it moving left or right. You'll want to attach it to the saw. A few holes pre-drilled in the rear extension table rail would make this easier. If you drill holes yourself the steel the rail is made from is soft enough to drill with your regular drill bits. Just use a lot of force and wear eye protection.Jet, unlike others, makes you wire the saw to a power cord yourself so it would be nice if it came with a wired power cord instead. This saw is a 220v version only. Since you do have to wire it, a larger electrical box would be nice for when you have to connect your wires to their wires.

Great saw. Buyer Beware
Let me start off by saying the actual saw is great. Very sturdy. Plenty of power. Makes great cuts with the proper blade and now I am pleased with my purchase but there was some major issues.1. The saw was delivered on the flimsiest pallet. By the time the saw arrived at my doorstep, the pallet was completely destroyed. Luckily, the saw had no major damage (only minor scratches at the bottom) but be aware that Jet spares very little expense at securing the saw for delivery.2. The motor cover had cosmetic finish issues. As if someone placed it down while it was drying, Jet's solution was to send me a spray paint can so that I could re-finish it myself. They wanted me to correct their problem for a brand new table saw!! I had to argue with customer support for a replacement motor cover. Not ideal. Beware Jet's customer service and quality issues.3.Here is the real problem. The back rail support did not align with the table saw base. Jet gladly agreed to send me a replacement back rail. However, the back rail support took slightly over 2 weeks to arrive and also did not align with the table saw base. It had the exact same problems as the original part. I had to take the back rail to a machine shop to slot the mis-aligned hole.In all, people shouldn't have to be re-working their brand new table saw to correct Jet's quality issues! A new product should be without defects.Especially when it costs over $2,000. However, once the problems are corrected, the table saw is great. Buyer beware.
