Bose AC-2 Bare Speaker Wire Adapter/Connector - Black

These worked perfectly with my Bose LifeStyle speakers, as I expected. The terminals at the "bare wire" end are well made but intended for somewhat modest speaker wire [they claim 14 gauge]. In my case, I needed to fit the "prewired into the house" stuff into my Bose speakers. The existing stuff was lamp cord. I just braided off about half of the thickness of each connection, clipped the frayed strands of copper carefully to be neat and not short out against the other wire, and made the connections. Sounds just fine. I would recommend using the Bose Speaker Wire Adapter Kit for Lifestyle & Acoustimass Systems (36743)for the wall-to-box connections as it cleaned up my connections nicely, but your mileage may vary. I am using the front and rear center channel wires to connect a second room's left and right channel in this prewired house. A label-making machine or tape and a ballpoint pen might help you keep it all straight, and I made good use of a battery and flashlight bulb to test which wire was really which.

These are necessary to hook speaker wires to BOSE Jewel cube speakers. very small seem to work well Price was OK, but I was wrong assuming 2 per package - had to re-order. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and lower prices than elsewhere..Finally wired the two BOSE dual-cube Jewel speakers as rear speakers on 42" stands to my Yamaha 7.2 Media Center. Amazed at how well the tiny speakers worked! Not much low frequency bass, but with a 10" woofer the effect is tremendous. Really gives me full-dimensional sound!

My BOse system died and was sitting idle for years! Kept asking Bose if I could convert my jewel cubes to be used with a standard home theater receiver and they kept telling me NO. Saw these adapters on a forum and hooked it up last night to an ONKYO receiver. Works awesome. I'm sure I can get better surround speakers, but these I already have so so happy I can use them again. Great product perfect fit!

This is exactly what I needed to adapt my existing Bose Wiring from an Acoustimass (AM) Series 15 (17 years old) to my new AM Series 10. The problem with Bose is that they decided to be "helpful" and include the connector for the speaker on the cables supplied (as well as the socket on the speaker which only accepts their connector) for the AM Series 10 which doesn't allow for the usage of existing wiring. The real problem is that they DON'T offer an adapter like this so that you can use existing wiring.This adapter is very easy to install and plugs (polarity keyed) in to my speakers perfectly. The screws used to tighten the wiring to the adapter are color coded to help with wiring polarity match up (very important). The pricing is very reasonable for the problem the connector solves, i.e., having to re-run new cables, etc.

Worked well to connect the Bose Speakers to bare wire so that I could connect them to the pre-wired wall outlet. The reason for the 4 stars is that it kept sliding out of the speaker and had to use tape to make sure it does not slide out.

Exactly what I needed for the new Bose surround sound. The entertainment room is already wired so when I got home with my new system there was a lot of cutting and splicing wires. I would have saved hours of I would have had these first! Anyway, great product, even faster shipping.
