This has a high-quality feel to it - the metal is heavy and the design is finished on both sides so there isn't a front and a back. It comes with a little card explaining the meaning of the 3 horses. The recipient might want to put it on a chain or silk cord, as the one it comes with is more like a shoelace, but it looks fine and is suitable for gift-giving. I'm very happy with this purchase and would buy it again. Beware - it comes in a little plastic bag, no box, and I almost overlooked it because it came in a package with something larger.

I designed a necklace for an art student of mine who loves horses and I chose this pendant. I did not know what type of metal it was when I ordered it, (Amazon left that out) and was glad it was pewter and two-sided. It was easy to find beads that match it. It is elegant, yet still very fun.I hated the stupid new age description about what the horses symbolize that came with the packaging, and would have enjoyed learning about the artist instead.

Purchased this for my daughter. She loves it.The cord it comes with is like a nice shoelace with a little silver bead that keeps the pendent centered on the cord.She replaced the cord with a chain and used the cord on a different necklace purchased here on Amazon.It's also nice that it's double sided. No worries about it flipping to an unfinished side.

Love it, but I'd just suggest a different cord-the ends look like shoelaces. Not a problem to switch out on my own. I just prefer a clasp, and that it would be adjustable.

This is a simpler, less intricate version of the ubiquitous Celtic horse triskele. Much as I like the original, the difference in this one sets if apart, and for the size, I think the stylization translates better visually.I also liked the cord on this; soft, and hangs well, no unraveling ends.
