Great price for a compressor and correctly installed & adjusted clutch
DENSO is the real deal. Follow the shop manual guidance for oil quantity before installation, and make sure you turn that compressor by hand, at least several revolutions, before starting the vehicle and running the A/C.As well, after installing this compressor and a new drier, I evacuated the system and pulled a solid vacuum on it for an hour using a good set of gauges and a vacrometer, and then turned the compressor by hand for nearly a dozen revolutions. Only then did I charge with the correct mass of R134a, using a quality refrigerant scale. Folks, pulling vacuum and using a scale is the only way to do it. You do NOT want "wet" air mixed with a load of new refrigerant, and you want exactly the correct amount."Checking pressure" is NOT an acceptable way to ensure you have the correct mass of refrigerant on board. You have to evacuate, pull vacuum, then charge using a refrigerant scale (most good ones are capable of accuracy down to 0.1 ounce) to an amount exactly within tolerances specified on the label affixed to your vehicle. Charging by using 12-ounce cans is a "great" way to either get too little refrigerant (poor efficiency or no operation of the A/C) or too much refrigerant (system hits high pressure limits and switches off, or you explode the compressor or wreck the compressor and clutch). After charging, I started up and ran the A/C for only barely a couple seconds, switched off the A/C, then operated the A/C for a couple seconds again, doing this at least a few times until running it for a minute continuously, switched it off, then ran it for a few minutes, then continuous operation as needed. Call me paranoid, but I wanted to ensure it didn't get a straight slug of ND-8 compressor oil and liquid refrigerant, and thus possibly ruin a new compressor. This has re-vitalized the HVAC on a 1998 Accord with over 238,000 miles that endured a compressor clutch burning out (yes, we got our money's worth out of that component). Excellent price for an entire compressor and correctly installed & adjusted clutch. And yes, absolutely, I replaced the accumulator drier (also purchased on Amazon Four Seasons 83003 Accumulator ). Great idea to do this when doing any major service on the A/C where you "break the lines" or replace a major component.

Exact replacement part of my 2000 Honda Accord EX-L 2.3L
I just replaced the compressor of my 2000 Honda Accord after 204K miles. This is the same original Honda part too for this year. Replacement was easy. I replaced the original because of so high mileage. The system had a leak at various points that it was just easier, faster, and cheap to overhaul the whole AC system plus overall efficiency. In the last charge, my system was only giving 60 F. Now, it gives again 50 F with all doors opened w/o recirculation. The price at Amazon was perfect compared to any Honda dealer.

Pre-oiled so I don't have to add any after I flushed the entire A/C system. You need to turn the compressor by hand after you vacuum the system to lubricate the compressor prior to charging the A/C system

Works Great
Replaced a factory a/c compressor that was 250K miles old, noisy and old. As expected the denso new replacement model works great. Has been installed all summer and worked great.
