GT350 Easy install

One of the reviews talked about taking four hours to install this alternator on a GT350. From the time I removed the airbox and did the alternator swap it took me less than 20 minutes. The stud that the alternator pivots on must be removed using a 1/4" 12 point socket. Once this stud is removed the alternator slips right in place, easy money.

Bigger than OEM Alternator

Install is tough for this alternator due to its bigger size and odd charge post location. If you have GT350R or similar size aftermarket sway bars, you will have to remove the sway bar bracket to get this in, and that itself is a lot of work to get get out and back in. Also, the positive charge post is in a different location than the OEM one and the positive lead will not reach the new location without a lot of extra work. A job that would have taken less than an hour with an OEM alternator ended up taking 4 plus hours with this alternator. If you have stock GT sway bars then the install will probably go a lot smoother.
