This soup tastes just like my grandmas soup tasted like. She made this soup from scratch from rye flour and fermentation. My mother never followed up on her receipe because she never liked it. Just had it, awesome. Tastes like the old country. For those of you that don’t read polish, you can download the google translate app to read the instructions. Basically it’s 750ml of water, pour in the pack and bring to a boil. Stir stir stir. They recommend a little marjoram and if you like it spicy 1/2 teaspoon of horseradish. I fried up 4 slices of chopped bacon, garlic and kielbasa and drained off the grease before adding to the soup. Was outstanding

I love the knorr brand of Zurek soup. I have tried other brands and they taste weak and watery. I love this soup it is so flavorful, easy to make and good consistency! Can't wait for it to be back in stock so I can buy more!

I had sour rye soup in Warsaw. It was delicious! Wanted to try this, and will do so, but had to go to a friend who was trained by the Army in Polish to understand the directions...Will add more later, after we've tried the mix.
