BAK 26207RB BakFlip G2 Box Tonneau Cover for 09-10 RAM with RAM Box

The backflip covers are great covers BUT be very, very, very carful when ordering yours. The backflip site (sites) can be confusing at best. Bakindustries & backflip.com gave me a part number for my particular model and the other said that P/N didn't exist and no cover existed for my model. Both are the same company! The Amazon sellers just compound the problem and some are not "authorized" dealers. I bought a new truck 2014 Ram 1500 and was told I had a "short bed". Imagine my surprise when at the last step of installation I flip the last cover over its 9" too short!! Turns out Ram has a short bed 5'7" and a MID box 6'4" Lucky for me that Smith RV accepted it for return but it was a $170.00 return shipping lesson learned. Also as others have stated the install instructions are poor. They are generic to Rams at least. The online video is different than the paper instructions and they vary some from model to model and year to year as well. When I received the proper cover it had different parts that the first and when I called Bakflip directly to clarify they were baffled and had to call me back the next day to explain. By then I had figured it out and completed the install. Given all that the install is pretty straight forward and a little common sense goes a long way if you don't take the instructions literally. My advice. Do your research and be positive the cover you order is correct. Don't trust any one site. Afterwards I found a local guy that had demos in stock, sold it for $40.00 more and would of installed it for $50.00

Pain in the rear to assemble (should have used a second pair of hands), especially if you have the RamBox setup like I do. The seal closest to the cab was a bit off, as in not even, so I will likely have to go replace that, as well as the one at the tailgate from others closing the gate with the lid down. No leaks around the edges, just where there is a gap between my tailgate and bed, not the cover. Noticed a big difference in fuel economy, even with the bed 100% loaded with luggage and a cab full. Love that it can fold all the way back and give you your entire bed space back. You will lose your ability to slide your tie downs on your bed track, since the latch brackets are fixed into the rail, but a small price to pay for a nearly flush mount bed cover.

Purchased this for my '09 Dodge Rambox. Best price was on Amazon plus no sales tax or shipping. Installation in 30 minutes or less? Forget it. Figure on an hour at least. Instructions are not very clear and you have to rely on a small, poor quality photos to figure out what they're talking about. The mounting hardware had the fit and finish of something you would make in your garage. End result: The cover fits well and looks good. It will provide a secure place for your stuff when combined with the locking tailgate. Time will tell if it is weather proof. When combined with the advantages of shopping on Amazon, I would recommend this product.

Great purchase, it arrived as expected and the installation was simple after the first time. The instructions that come with the cover are not the best in the world. The best thing that I can suggest to a prospective buyer is to view the you tube video for installaion instructions. It will save about 30 minutes of time because otherwise you will have to go back and re-adjust the brackets. I would definitely buy this cover again, throw the direction away and view the you tube installation video instead.

Constructive feedback:Installation procedures were not in proper sequence and should be clearer for specific model application. (better pictures)One should allow 1-2 hrs for installation depending on the application.The aluminum angles could be stronger, perhaps wider say 6" rather than 3 1/2" or thicker mat'l as they tend to bend upon tightening the two mounting bolts.The final product looks and functions well and appearance is like part of the truck design...Good Job!

Had mine for a couple years now. Still works great but the thin alluminum allows it to dent easily. I dont even know how some of the dents appear. Go with the thicker fiberglass model if you wan more duability

These are not authorized sellers, and your warranty will not be honored. My BakFlip G2 purchased last year fell completely apart in under a years time and faded. It's a knock off. When I contacted BakFlip to complain about the quality I was told Amazon was not an authorized dealer and that my warranty could not be validated.Under further inspection, I believe this is a fake product. Each of the panels were lined ith a textured plastic, not aluminum and the core was styrofoam. After about 5 months of use, the handles and locking bars broke and separated from the panels. The panels themselves became faded.

Bought this for my 2012 Ram Sport 1500 with Rambox, Fit Perfect, took about 1.5 hours to install. Can already tell I'm getting about .5- 1 MPG better gas mileage on the Interstate. Other websites are selling this cover for $700 -$800. Save some money and buy from Amazon!
