My mother slides out of her wheelchair- this holds her in securely and buckles easily around the back. I feel better that she can’t suddenly slide out or wiggle free. She can release the wheelchair buckle, but this one is around back. Love this product.

My grandma is TINY. As soon as she’s in her wheelchair, she immediately “melts” and ends up on the floor under the table. This seatbelt is perfect to keep her upright in her seat. I tried a dozen others that she would slide right out of, but this one fits perfectly. Tons of adjustments. It’s reflective (not that *we* need that). The material is thick and padded. Straps are easy to use.

4 stars for now! This item has just recently been used; one buckle is on backwards, yet usable. In order to get the lower piece to lay flat the buckle on the strap had to be turned backwards. The user has not said the belt is uncomfortable. The belt has not been washed yet, so I'll see how it holds up.

Used this for my son who has cerebral palsy but it wasn’t a good fit for him. Sent it back

My mom has alzheimers and is wheelchair bound. She had gotten a new cushion which caused her to slide forward/downward in her chair. I searched high/low and FINALLY found this belt and it was a game changer! It sits her upright, keeps her so that there is NO WAY for her to slide out of her chair and is completely adjustable for someone tiny like her or a larger man. This enables me to get things done while she's in her chair and I don't have to worry about her falling. I can't say enough great things about this product...would definitely buy again or recommend to others!

Works as intended for 130lb man in std wheelchair.If your intended person is much larger the straps that go to the bottom don't allow the restraint to be moved forward much and painfully crowds male "packaging". If you are using a XL wheelchair you will need an extension to make the side straps come together enough to snap. I just happened to have a "safety" belt from a Hoyer sling I am not using, so I took it off the sling and added it to the restraint in the back. Clipped in perfectly, with a lot of extra length to spare, useable for heavy patients up to prob 250+ in my guesstimating. But with those adjustments my husband is safe from sliding out of the seat of the wheelchair. The photo in the advertisement prob shows a small young man or highschool aged model. Ideal for sales, but misrepresents the purpose for handicappers who would need something to help control their inability to hold themselves up or otherwise in the chair. Practical, true handicapped applications should also be shown
