Q: is this the Samsung Galaxy note 3 or the Galaxy 3 s? There is a difference between the two. Thanks

This is Samsung Galaxy S3 and there's a difference not much The note 3 would be about a half inch to an inch larger. I have this phone and it's wonderful. I have a friend who has the note 2 and it's just like my phone just bigger. So it just depends if you want a really big phone? This one is around 4.8" Screen. I've seen them for around $220 now

Q: How do you get all of your information from your current Virgin Mobile phone onto your new Samsun Galaxy?

There is two ways for all of your information to carry over to your new device, one way is by porting your number (you do not have to put in all of your contacts one by one, this process will take care of this) also if you have a Google account and you attach your email address your information will follow.

Q: If I buy one now (May 31, 2014) it arrive with the 4.3 OS update, or will it need to be updated on start up?

All I can tell you isvso got mine in December. I have the 4.3. I haven't done any updates that weren't automatically done. So im pretty sure you should get 4.3

Q: what comes with the phone? Is there a phone charger, wall charger, usb cable, etc.

The phone charger bundled is a wall charger/usb cable combo, meaning the cable can be unplugged from the wall charger and used separately for data transfer to a computer. The phone also comes with a set of ear plugs.
