J. Wilbur Spicy Hickory BBQ Sauce - 18oz (All-Natural & Gluten Free) 3 Pack

I love a little kick, a little spice, a little tang in my sauces. The problem with most BBQ sauces is they are super sweet, taste like ketchup with some liquid smoke. J. Wilbur is the only sauce I've found that is pretty much better than whatever I put it on. It's one of those sauces that, if it were socially acceptable, you would drink straight out of the jar. I will BBQ chicken or steak just to use them as vehicles for consuming more of the Spicy Hickory BBQ Sauce.If you know me, and you probably don't, for me to say I would drink a BBQ sauce would be staunchly out of character for my usual tastes; this product has changed my mind about BBQ sauce, and it only needed to be changed once, because I doubt I'll buy any other brand after this. Like I said, if you like spice, tang, and kick, and just plain good flavor, this is your last stop on the journey to find the ultimate BBQ sauce.

This is an awesome sauce! We've tried a lot of different BBQ sauces and this one really stands apart with a unique flavor that compliments any meat you put it on. I prefer the spicy hickory which has just the right combination of spicy and sweet but their regular hickory sauce is excellent too. This same company also makes a bloody mary concentrate mix that is to die for. I generally don't have a taste for bloody mary's but the J-wilbur mix really makes it. I think it shares some spices that are in the BBQ sauce but more concentrated. I keep a bottle of the bloody mary mix on hand and my husband uses it to marinate steak in before grilling and it is excellent. You've just got to try this stuff.

I purchased this BBQ sauce because it was supposed to have the finest ingredients but when I got it, it turns out it has high fructose corn syrup in it. I would have expected much better ingredients for $7.99.

I ordered this sauce here at Amazon and was very pleased when it arrived. There was a nice smoky flavor and just the right amount of sweetness. I used the sauce on ribs and pulled pork. I would have rated it 5 stars if it were a little less expensive, $7.99 is pretty steep. Hopefully it will show up on my local grocers shelf soon..

I will not claim to be an expert in BBQ sauces, but this stuff is pretty much the best. So far I have used it as a baste on chicken and pork as well as a dip for just about everything else. Its not super thick, which makes it great for marinating as well. It has a little kick, but it is not overly spicy. I highly recommend this BBQ sauce.

I bought this BBQ sauce because it was their first product and I have to say it is the best sauce I have ever had. I love BBQ and this sauce rocks! It is a well balanced sauce with just the right amount of spice. I went on their website and found that they also give money to charity. If you like BBQ sauce, give it a try.

I wanted something old school, none of these chipotle lime habenero pinapple sirracha everything sauces. this said it was memphis bbq. that's olds school.I got a brand new webber kettle, put a game hen on a beer can chicken type of thing and put too much charcoal in the webber so the hen cooked way too fast and hot, sort of really darkened the skin. thought it might be ruined. so I smothered this sauce on it I had never tried and it was just this burst of classic old time bbq. I was actually quite shocked it was so good.the term, lip smackin finger smakin good is a great way to describe it. you really do almost feel like you could just drink it. the balance is just perfect as others have said. a good amount of sweet, but not too much, a good amount of spicy, but not too much, the hickory flavor is also not too strong. plus, it doesn't have a ton of sugar in it which a lot of sauces do. my bottle just says "sugar" but somebody here was complaining it was high fructose corn syrup. whatever. sugar in any form is not good for you and the less of it you eat the better,so you look at grams of sugar not what type it is. this is a fairly low sugar low carb sauce. a lot of brands of cocktail sauce have way more sugar than this stuff does. you know it's good when you get a plain piece of white meat chicken from the breast that has not been cooked with the sauce, and you just dip it in the sauce and it's not too sickly sweet. it has a real natural taste to it. I have made my own bbq sauces out of all natural ingredients and cooked them for hours and this stuff tastes like something you would make at home only even better
