Peppercorns of the World Sampler

THIS. IS. GAME. CHANGING. IN. THE. KITCHEN!!!!I already bought this twice now, as well as the salt sampler. I am BEYOND impressed.Each pepper has it's own unique flavor and it's incredible how food i've had for years takes on a completely different flavor depending on which pepper you use.I made some Indian curry using all of the different peppers from India. it was so rich and earthy, I have never in my life come close to such an authentic recipe as I have from using the peppers here. I once knew a very wonderful woman who taught me how to make all these different recipes but I had forgotten the names of the different types of peppers and spices. It always was so sad to me that I couldn't re-create them after losing contact with her through the years.This is about as close as I have got to recreating the recipes she was taught from a long line of family recipes.My father and I used to always cook as our favorite past time growing up; and incorporating these amazing spice blends into old family recipes has brought back that joy and gratitude that comes with slaving hours over a meal. I plan on buying more of these spices as soon as I run out of my last batch.I also made spinach puffs with escargot, french province salt and the french blend of peppercorns. I took mozzarella cheese and wrapped the escargot with the seasonings and spinach in a croissant and baked them for about 20 minutes. The escargot were so meaty and perfect and completely absorbed the flavors of the pepper and salt. I would have ate the whole batch if I had not been so full.Plus the peppers contain trace nutrients that most Western diets do not have, and I would love to know how these minerals and nutrients not only make my diet tastier; but impact my health. I know that pepper is great for the cardiovascular system and using these peppers has incorporated it much more into my diet than I normally would have.I recommend this to everyone, and I use it in my meal preps almost every single time as a routine now. This is the best sampler i've ever ordered twice and soon to be three times!

Bought this for my daughter who wanted to try various types of pepper in her recipes. The perfect sampler- just enough for sampling and experimenting. Not huge containers, but enough.

Got it as a gift for my son who likes to cook. Haven't tried it yet, but everyone was intrigued.

well, I like to use a lot of pepper, and it is a pretty small amount of each to put in a grinder each time, I realize that is kind of a whiny complaint against the purpose of the sampler pack, also the red one are hollow and amount to hardly any pepper, and for the salt mixed in, that I also could do with out. I don't regret the small purchase but would not buy again, nor did I think any of the kinds were all that good.

It is a bit small, and I was a bit disappointed due to the fact that this was for my mom's birthday (with other things), however, at least she will get to know what peppercorns she likes and then I can buy her larger quanities.
