Gariz Genuine Leather XS-CHDFBR Camera Metal Half Case for Nikon DF, Brown

Love it! A perfect fit, exceptionally well crafted, and beautiful materials. I have no difficulty removing the memory card as others have described. The unit adds an extra amount of height to the camera which is great for people with large hands (my pinky doesn't dangle below the camera any longer). I just wish Gariz made a "top half" that could be added when storing the camera (without lens).

The product was great fit to the camera but one thing that take a full stars from this review was the shipping package so damaged that the boxes and products inside were not in original shape.

An extravagance for sure, but, so is the DF camera, but, it fits perfect, and really helps protect some key areas. I have no trouble openingthe battery door, and I always transfer my pictures by taking out the memory card, and found no issue, but if you have large hands, perhaps could be tricky. I really like the way it screwed into the base securely, and provides a solid connection to the tripod. The center point of the connection shifts, which might actually help out for heavier lens ironically. Since this camera is a long term investment, I value this addition. The leather is a bitslippery, so maybe a bit less grip then the textured plastic, but, still, very elegant look.

I just purchased this camera half case for my Nikon DF. I prefer to have simple and stylish body protection for my higher end cameras. The items is exactly as described and is obviously of high quality materials and craftsmanship. While I do believe that the price tag is a bit too high, I am not disappointed at all with the final product. I guess I was not altogether too bothered by the price as I just ordered another half case from the same company for my Fujifilm X-100s - and this one was a special edition model and actually cost more - yikes. Five stars is for the obvious high quality - the only thing I would score lower on is the high price tag.

Loved the look of it but after a few months it made my rubber grip on the back start to stretch out and come off. I now have to send my df into Nikon for a repair:(

its is super cool case visually. but you have take the whole case off to take the memory card out. i used every effort to do it without taking it off but its too deep to reach it out.

Beautiful and sturdy. Thoughtful design - I am able to access battery etc and use it with a tripod - without taking it off. I purchased the strap as well, same quality and thoughtful design.

Besides the nostalgic look, this half case really improves the hand grip of the Df. It makes using longer zoom lenses and/or holding the Df for a prolong period of time much more comfortable.
