Devardi Glass Lampworking, Blowing, Beadmaking COE 104 Beginner Starter Kit - Intermediate

This is a great starter set. Has enough product to get started, continuing to buy the glass thru this company, both on Amazon and direct.

The kit itself is very well thought out and put together. They do say the glass is a bit "shocky". Oh yeah. The rods are big, thick, and full of color. The first one I brought slowly into the flame like any other thick rod...BOOM! Glass everywhere. But the rest of the rod is now warm, right? BOOM! Yeah, not so much.Stayed away from all the rods over 5mm, and those smaller rods produced beautiful beads. Just need to figure out what to do with the bigger rods.

I purchased this as a gift for my son. It is a very nice start up kit for anyone. I was amazed at the amount of glass that came with it. They were very well bundled and wrapped for protection from breaking.

I bought this excited after a class at Corning. Not happy... the bead release flakes off and doesn't dry well. The glass rods are too fat in mm and easily pop.... not for beginners. The frit might not be coe 104 and compatible with the glass rods/cane because when I use it I end up with micro fractures that won't anneal. Not very happy with my purchase and outside the window to return. I recommend going to Wale Apparatus for a beginner set and supplies. Sadly skip this one on Amazon.

Was supposed to come with 4lbs of glass rods, it came with less than one lb.

the kit has a lot in it. the glass robs has a good verity. a lot of information.I have never made glass beads before and I am having a great time learning doing it.
