IOGEAR 12-In-One Pocket Flash Memory Card Reader/Writer, GFR209A (White)

I purchased the IOGEAR 12-In-One Pocket Flash Memory Card Reader/Writer to replace an older (different brand) reader that had failed.When I first plugged in the USB cable, which is permanently attached to the reader, my computer instantly recognized the device. It was ready to use in seconds. I use several different types of cards including SD, SDHC, Micro-SD, and Sony Memory Stick, and the IOGEAR card reader has handled them all. The first time I used it, I did have to look closely at the device to see which way to insert the cards (contacts up or down) but everything works great.The IOGEAR card reader is very compact and lightweight, so I can carry it easily in my laptop bag or tuck it in my purse. I have now used the device on all four computers with no problem and highly recommend the IOGEAR 12-in-One Pocket Flash Memory Card Reader/Writer to anyone to uses a variety of memory cards.

I needed a memory card reader for a long time and when i saw this "IOGEAR 12-In-One Pocket Flash Memory Card Reader/Writer", i had to have it and it comes in "White & Green" (Maybe black)", the company "IOGEAR" is environmentally active and that`s a good thing. Now i don`t have to run upstairs to my other desktop CPU with a built in "card reader" and i plan to purchase another one for my main CPU, which does not have a "card reader" on it, but it will be another model from "IOGEAR", one of their "Green Reade/Writers". A great thing about this "IOGEAR 12-In-One Pocket Flash Memory Card Reader" is that, you can Read/Write to it and that is perfect for me and keeps me from switching devices. The quality is very good and all the slots work perfectly and works on all my CPU in the house XP, Me and Windows 7 64bit. Worked for my trail camera cards. Better than switching out cards into $300 dollar Sony to see trail cam pics. I have I damaged $300 Sony card holder. Have instructed family to no longer remove camera card from Sony camera. Should have bought this last year to save wear and tear switching out trail cam cards in camera

I plugged this into my Win7 system and it was seen and functional in about 60 seconds. For whatever reason my old reader was incompatible with Win7 so it was nice to have that flexibility of use again. Of course my machine has a SD card slot that worked just fine until one of those overnight Microsoft auto-updates and now it doesn't work. Microsoft states stoutly that it must be some other issue since their auto update couldn't have done anything damaging. I know it didn't hurt the hardware but as far as the driver is concerned there is a problem and I have the most recent driver from ACER. So I bought this tiny little reader for a whopping $8.00 on Amazon rather than waste any more time trying to fix a MS generated problem and "it works just swell". (quote from Lady and the Tramp, the beaver, there is a possibility I am spending too much time with gkids.LOL)

I'm moving and going through old stuff. I had an old Sony digital camera with the Duo memory sticks that aren't compatible with my computer. The cord for the camera broke a long time ago, so I needed something to read the cards.This product was perfect. I used it to read my Duo cards and some micro SD cards I had laying around.It's hard to get too excited about this product, so I'll just say - it does what it says it will

The product is great! Fits nearly any SD/Memory card size that you will have. It was a steal for only $9.99! A way better product than the dual-part card readers with the sleeve, those tend to malfunction. This is a straight up external SD card slot/drive for your computer or laptop, simple, easy, and extremely effective. Very happy with this purchase.

Since the memory card reader on my pc didn't read my Kingston 8GB SDHC I looked all over for one that would for a good price. I was weary of buying becasue some reviews weren't all good ones for the product. This worked for me and it works for my Kingston 8GB SDHC I use to save Wii saves, a SanDisk 4GB microSDHC from a cell phone, and the SanDisk 8GB SD MS PRO Duo from a digital camera. No problems at all. Love it and glad I bought it!EDIT Dec 27, 2012: I bought another one. They also plug them in the usb's in these:  Philips DVP3680 DVD Player - Black , Philips HTS3531 DVD Home Theater , Samsung UN22D5003 22-Inch 1080p 60Hz LED HDTV (Black) [2011 MODEL ], and  JVC JLC32BC3002 32-Inch 720p 60Hz LCD TV with Ambient Light Sensor .

I am impressed with how easy this device works. I just plugged it in and Windows 7 did the rest and installed it with no problems. As stated it does work with any of the cards that it claims it can read. I have tried a Mini SD and the Micro SDHC card, both cards can be read. This is a very useful tool anyone can use.

Have used one for years and never failed me. This is my second purchase only as a spare.
