Lowrance Lake Insight PRO v14 U.S. Inland Lake Charts

The lake insight has been a great addition to my lowrance unit. It has been a great help in locating new fishing spots.

Very disappointed of the false advertisement. Purchased this digital chart system BECAUSE of the Lake Insight Genesis description: "It features U.S. inland lake coverage, including the Great Lakes with detailed fishing and navigation information." Imagine my surprise to find out that the Great Lakes info have NO depth contours or depth charts. Not even near the shores! A great blue blob on my screen is by no means "coverage" or "navigation information".The Lake Insight is in its infancy, as it relies on clients recording the depth of rivers and lakes they scan with their fish-finder/chart plotter. If the client wishes, they can upload their sonar scans to the Genesis web site. In turn, Genesis sells the data as Lake Insight.The only good feature of this system is that I can upload the scans of uncharted lakes or rivers, merge them and download the depth contours on my PC and then to my chart-plotter. But of course, that feature called "Premium Subscription" will cost you an additional $100 per year.

Worthless....absolutely worthless. Purchased mine online from Insight....that whole online commerce experience was enough to make you give up on E-Commerce. Still awaiting activation code that I failed to receive. Contacting them online was a total waste of time and effort..."check your junk mail".....really? Lakes that were listed as having coverage have no contours at all. Definitely over hyped and falsely advertised. Save your money....Iphone maps, Google Maps and maybe even a 1960's free Exxon (Esso) paper road map would be more useful...at least you carry it to the woods when nature calls and get some use out of it.This map was to be for my new Lowrance Elite 7 Chirp... which I now wish I had not purchased as I can only imagine the lack of quality and support I will get with it.

Very disappointed. Received with my Elite 7 Chirp. pro v15 model. My 2010 lakemaster pro 7 is way better for my old hds5. lake insight pro does not show creeks and inlets and no streets in towns only major highways. Going to take back for refund.
