Our Bun Loves It!
After years of feeding our pet bunny the popular brand of alfalfa, I just grew tired of mostly throwing out the bag of long, hard stems that she never eats (and the mess it made.....it was always such a struggle to try and close the 'reclosable' bag after first opening). So glad we switched to Grandpa's Best! Our bun absolutely DEVOURS it. And it smells so good, too -- the other brand was never aromatic like this! There really is a marked difference, and the most important thing is that our bunny (who is a very picky eater) is so happy with it. I'm confident that your bunny will love it, too ☺

Yummy for my tortoise!
Great smell and very fresh for being dried! You can tell it is nutrient locked and the value for your money is great! The quality is amazing and you get a lot so it’s a bang for your buck. Perfect size for a snack for my little guy!

Hay dust
I ordered the 5lb bag. It was mostly hay dust. I’m not exaggerating, 75%-80% is hay dust. And of the actual strands of grass, the longest are less than 2.5 inches long. I am very disappointed. I will not order this again.

Bunny Approves of Taste of this Alphalpha TREAT
In short, I am no hay expert but my bunny approves of taste. Probably because it is labeled as a ‘sweet treat’ and latte loves sweets and so therefore It will not be overdoing it.Comparisons:Texture- My bunny started off eating Viking Farmer alphalpha since he was a baby and loves it. As it is very bright/fresh in appearance, Its just really expensive and comes in long brittle sticks that aren’t very fun to break apart. Grandp’s Best comes in a very tight little bundled rectangle that breaks into smaller slices that you then are instructed to fluff out. No long pricky stalks, so you can grab it in handfuls once the bundle is fluffed out.Handling it- Its pretty crumbly and flaky so it is messy to fluff it out but in my experience that’s how hay do be some times 🤷🏽♀️ Vicking Farmer had a too much hard-to-break long stalk not enough leaf, or the leafs would fall off so I assume ALL alphalpha is a bit messy? latte is a weird little guy he actually likes the leafy (dusty looking) portion of it that usually falls off so this hay is good for him. Too much of this Grandpa hay made my bunny sneeze a lot, so ill give it to him in smaaaalller amounts.Smell- Smells sweet and is labeled as a ‘sweet treat’ so this shouldn’t be bulk of diet. Bunny looved the taste.Price- This hay is 5 lbs for $14. VF alphalpha is 5lb for $25 fresher and less treat-ish. My bunny never ate the stalk parts and there a lot of that in VF. I think the Grandpa Best price is fair for what you are buying “an occasional treat/appetite stimulant”.

Best Alfalfa Hay Ever
I love this product... great buy.... compared to other brands you get more, it is fresher and my bunny prefers it!.. did i say you get more? You get three times the amount of hay for a reasonable price because it is packed so much... It breaks apart easily and I can divide it into three bags from another brand.I highly recommend this brand. Grandpa team had the right idea!!

Powdery
My 3 month old bunny loves this brand, too, but as you can see in the tray, the leaves that he he loves turn to powder and he tries eating it and ends up sneezing, also, with wetness around his nose from sneezing. What to buy to make him happy and not sneeze??

Good quality
This was just as expected. It's a smaller amount than I need but I knew that at time of purchase. Good value.
