Festival Candy Cane Crunch - Peppermint Great for Baking and Snacking! 10ounces 1 bag

For many years now I’ve been making peppermint ice cream for Christmas. But I have always bought candy canes in the store & had to take off the plastic wrap & crush them in a ziploc bag, which was more labor intensive. So, it was great to find this product, which makes the prep work easier!However, be forewarned that has a silica gel pack in it!! I emptied the entire bag contents into my pot that I used to cook ice cream base, stirred a bit & a few seconds later discovered the silica gel packet. Luckily it wasn’t in there long until I saw it.

I buy these every year... they were hard to find this year so I ordered them and they are exactly as I have purchased in stores. Fresh and make Peppermint Cookies perfect.

only thing good about this product was the size of the bag. quality was terrible, no flavor, and was very soft and sticky

It tastes good. But empty calories aren't worth it

I highly recommend this product, crushed peppermint for baking. The pieces are just the right size, and really added a lot to my sugar cookies. I'll never crush my own candy again!

Was trying to bake peppermint chocolate chip cookies and this product ruined them. Baking at 350 for 10 min and these peppermint chips have totally melted down and caused the cookie dough to run. When the cookies cool, the melted candy hardens and it's not pleasant at all. Also the melted appearance is ghastly. I suspect it's either the corn syrup or "shellac" in this product that can't withstand the oven temps. Also, and really this is secondary considering I had to toss this dough out, but these chips have only the barest taste of peppermint. Really disappointed.
