I installed an exhaust fan on an old Windows XP computer that I am making into a retro gaming machine. The computer does not have any fan headers on the mother board so I needed this adapter to power it by a molex connector. It works fine but there is no control of fan speed which s fine with me.

Perfect connector
My case came with 4 fans in it. My Older power supply didn't have enough of the proper connector. Plugged this in and now all are running!Good price too!

Don't waste you money!!!
The pins were not securely aligned. They kept wobbling and were to loose in the connector. Pins in both cables were bent and completely useless. Should have check the reviews first. Do not buy.

Fan side is 4-pin wide
This is a good cable.. its works with 2, 3, or 4-pin fans.. all fans will run at 100%, PWM speed reduction wont work. This is most commonly used to power fans without using the motherboard fan headers.

Decent product for the price
Overall this is a good product for the price. Does what I need it to do. And the fact that I could get them black to match the rest of the cables in my case is a major bonus. I would have given a 5 star review but one of the pins in one of my adapters was bent. Not too big of a deal as this is a multipack and a gentle nudge puts the pin back in place but a bent pin is a bent pin.
