I got this for my son who was almost 1 1/2 at the time. He really enjoyed it, and it only had a few shapes so it wasn't too complicated. The one triangle fit in the square slot. I told the provider and they had sent me a new shape sorter free of charge, with a return label for the old one.This product has held up extremely well. A year later after being dropped, thrown, drooled on, chewed on, and still in very good shape.What I liked most about it was it was heavy. Most of the other shape sorters are either really light press wood, or plastic, which would just fall over when trying to sort the shapes.Don't even think about it. Just buy it.

Love this shape sorter. All the other wooden sitters out there have shapes on every side and too much going on. This one is simple but great and exactly what we were looking for. My daughter drops the shapes in and easily takes them out herself. She also does it it puzzle style like previous poster said. I recommend if you’re looking for something simple yet great

This is a durable, study gift. However, don’t expect this to occupy much of the babies time. At first they will put it in their mouth and not realize what or is for. Then after they are taught they will try to do it for 10 sec then throw it. Then finally they will get it and have it in the box with in 10 secs. Honestly, it was best occupied the toddler when all the pieces were in the box and they had to figure out how to get them out. Shaking the box entertained them way longer haha.

I was on the hunt for a long time for a wooden shape sorter that had SIMPLE BASIC shapes! Melissa & Doug have a wood shape sorter that my 18mo son hated because there were like 15 different shapes and holes so it was way too complicated and frustrating for his age. We love this one because he even takes the lid off sometimes and uses it like a puzzle (see pictures). It's everything I was looking for and it's very good quality. One of those toys that can be passed down for generations.

I love the idea of this but I think it leaves a bit to be desired. While the box is wood, which is nice, the inside of the box is not covered with anything. You wouldn't think this is a problem and it's not...until you drop the wooden shapes into the box. It's so loud that it hurts the ears. I would suggest that the company try to do something about this, makes it less fun for both babies and their parents.

Love this shape sorter! Sturdy, simple, great size, easy for my toddler to play with without getting frustrated, and all the shapes fit perfectly! I had issues with other shape sorters where the blocks would fit into the wrong shape holes, but this one did not have that problem. Highly recommend!

Great toy for various ages. My 10 month old likes to put the blocks in the lidless box since he's not up to shape matching yet. He'll get there. He loves putting things inside other things! Good quality. Good buy.
