I replaced the tilt mechanisms of all our blinds to have cords rather that wands. I tried another brand which had the same criteria but it was too wide. This metal item fits well and works well. It is slightly wider than the original so I had to adjust the blind end bracket slightly on the side of the mechanism. It seems to turn the blind rod in small increments rather than smoothly but I find that handy. It is so much easier to tilt the blind than with the wands! I do recommend this item although I can not judge its long term quality.

First what I liked. They fit perfectly and replaced a couple that tilters that my young daughter broke a few back. I bought two and both have a defect where they get stuck and can’t go any further. So you can get them to rotate almost 360, but have a spot that you can’t go through. This may allow you to use them to go from open to closed in one direction, but not both. Meaning you can’t close them up or down. They’ll likely work one way only. One works up and one down. With some work I can probably get them to limit the same, but really shouldn’t be limited. Would pay double for something that worked correctly.

Buying the entire blinds set would of cost me a fortune. Fixed with this item and done!
